Road bypass in ND oil town delayed by fed permits
NEW TOWN, N.D. - A bypass project that's intended to relieve heavy oil truck traffic through New Town has been delayed while federal permits are sought.

The planned route of the bypass will destroy the bike/walking trail between New Town and the Casino. It will also destroy at least one hole of the New Town golf course. The bypass should run south of town, not north!

why do people like you make untrue comments like this. Also there isn't a feasible route to the south. When you plan something like this, even if you know where the best route would be the Feds make you come up with alternates that can be discussed/choosen from [or to delay the process as I see it]. By the way, although it won't happen, it would have only shortened the 9th hole. YOu ever try to work with the Corps of Engineers?
