I have read all the posts in this thread...and I can honestly say there is some truth to all of it...the good...the bad..and the ugly....they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions and unfortunately that is true here as well...there could be alot of improvement done to cmi all the way around.....management is where it should start first...better training procedures for the new employees would be a great help...you can't learn how to care for someone with mental retardation by typing answers onto a computerized test ...and there needs to be a better screening of new employees.....my bottom line is this....it's a bad situation all the way around...

The problem with CMI are the higher ups. Not all of them, but most of them. For one, the head of the residential dept., Stephen Smith, doesn't have a damn clue what he is doing. He was hired straight from a job at a hardware store???? How is anyone with those qualifications going to be good at a state funded mgr. position? Another problem is that staff is underpayed. Tell me how an agency that is funded to pay staff $11-$13 an hour, just pays minimum wage? Where is the rest of the money going? If you don't pay staff what they're worth then you're going to get crappy employees. Most of CMI's employees are straight out of high school, and think they are getting a job where they can just go and watch TV. Most , not all, employees stay on their phones, texting or facebooking, all day long. I don't blame them though, because they learn from watching the office staff do the same. How this place has stayed opened as long as it has is beyond me. I work there, so I know what's going on and it isn't good.

I agree 100%!!Kim R, and Kenneth W.are the ONLY ONE'S who even try to treat employee's with some respect! as far as office staff are concerned... The rest are TOTALLY CLUELESS!! and to the above post,I agree as well, NO IT DID NOT USED TO BE THIS WAY AT ALL! It used to be a decent place to work, it has completely went to hell the past couple of years! I am sorry to say, but management has a lot to learn about treating their employee's with some respect,as well as running a place of business! And to the "office staff" reading this... instead of sitting up there on your damn pedestal, pretending to be higher than thou, why not try to treat "staff" with just a grain of respect??? Believe it or not we are people too, and deserve to be treated as such! But, you're too good for that right? you'll just continue to make everyone's life a living hell, until we all crumble and go down, cause when you go down, you're gonna take everyone you can with you!

When these clients get pulled, wont half the office staff lose their jobs just like the house staff?.. If they dont have all the clients anymore, state is not going to give enough fund to keep all the higher ups, right??

You are right the "office staff" are nothing...it's the "big wigs" that run the show and tell everyone what to do.

If you're looking for hot women that work at CMI, you have to be addicted to meth. You'd have better luck finding a hot woman behind a fence at the zoo.

WOW..you must be smoking crack to this Kenneth W. treats anyone with respect. That is a joke! He doesn't even treat his family with respect. CMI is gonna be a thing of the past because of the "higher ups".

do you think that the higher ups will be offerd layoff when the rest of the staffs hours will be cut to part time or just enough to not be able to draw unemployment..just something there to add to the mix...and as far as the respect issue goes...i feel that by far it is the clients that take a back seat here...at least staff can address the disrespect issue with a heartfelt kiss my ass when it's needed...and to the person who's lookin for hot chicks...if ya see one with a good lookin outter wrapper then i bet on the inside they are ugly as hell...and they wonder what is wrong with a place whose business is people.............

Is knowing that there is so much fear of losing jobs at CMI that there is back stabbing going on by the people who take care of the clients.

Falsely accusing the very one they work with, behind their back,in hopes that, that person will lose their job, therefore "in their selfish pitiful mind", saving their own.

The thing they don't realize is that by doing what they are doing,it will come home to them one day.

People can't do things like that and think they will get by with it.

There is a day of reckoning for people like that.

The Holy Bible speaks against such as those who bear false witness against someone.

that is so very very true ...what was said in the above post...alot of people will have some hefty explaining to do one day...and for the clients to have to endure being taken care of...if that is what you would choose to call it....by these selfish and vengeful people is the worst part of it...they seem to forget that it would only take one little gene or lack of a gene and they would be the ones having to be taken care of...but i guess they don't think of it that way when they are lieing and back stabbing in order to further their own "job security"

Kim York getting canned is wrong. She was there before Angel. Angel is a hoe bag and a liar. She doesn't do her job. They will see that soon and she will get her just deserved. Kim didn't deserve getting fired. She was always pegged as a bad person but she really isn't.
