Do not buy a home from these jokers. They will lie and make all kinds of promises to get you to sign a contract and then back out on all of them. I hope these scum bags go out of business!!!!

KB Homes Suck!!! We live in Katy, TX; 90 miles from the TX coast. Our neighborhood was built by KB. We have more roof damage in our neighborhood than 20 of the combined surrounding neighborhoods after the hurricain. KB knew there was a problem years ago with the roofs in this neighborhood but did not want to do anything about it. They did not even bother informing the home owners of these problems. They were affraid of having to pay for the fix. Now over 80 houses in this neighborhood have internal water damage. This is costing the homeowners and insurance companies thousands of dollars. Come see for youself, Lakes of Bridgewater subdivision in Katy, TX. Take Mason rd north off of I-10, turn right at Lakes of Bridgewater and then just look for all of the blue tarps. You can't miss it!

I also have purchased one of the nightmare KB Homes... They don't deserve the 2008 Homebuilder of the Year award by Forbes Magazine. They must have paid for the privilege as a BIG advertiser, it obviously is not a "People's" choice award. See the story at: a kb home sucks dot com, work in progress since the last 3 years there has been a constant stream of traffic thru the house from all sorts of kb contractors still trying to rescue a sinking ship.

Are you the owner of a KB Home? You might be the victim of an appraisal scheme costing homeowners thousands.

I work with a law firm investigating allegations that KB homes fraudulently sold new homes at inflated prices through pre-determined appraisals. Reports allege KB Homes worked with Countrywide’s appraisal subsidiary, LandSafe, to inflate the appraisal values given to new KB homes.

KB benefits from the higher purchase prices while homeowners suffer huge losses. If you are a homeowner, join the investigation by sharing your experience. Visit .

Holiday Builders built our house in late 90's.
Super company, excellent job.
They didn't require any "draws" during construction.
They didn't get paid until you were satisfied and signed-off on it.

ICI Homes ain't much better.
I saw the much of the crap construction going on up at Plantation Bay in the mid 2000's.

We almost bought a KB Home a few years ago but just before we were about to close on it, my husband lost his job. I see by these posts that it was a good thing we could not purchase it. I had to fight like mad to get them to give us our deposit back, as they promised they would do. The reason we got it is they had our contract and the back up buyer's contract open at the same time. That is illegal and they got caught. We were blessed not to have closed on it. Sorry for everyone else on here who still has to deal with this slip-shot company.

KB Home has created yet another nightmare of living conditions in Willowbrook, FL and 13 plus other Florida communities are coming forth as well. KB Home knew of serious structural defects in our community back in 2007 and did not properly disclose to unsuspecting buyers. Now-we are living in homes with collapsing balancies, weakened flooring, interior water intrusion and alot of mold. My townhome is just over 2 years old and falling apart.
Thanks to the press, the county and 3rd party contractors are now involved hopefully doing the proper fixes but now we are living in construction zones with temporary plywood walls and half of our homes torn apart. The only solace we have is the millions upon millions hopefully this is costing KB Home. All they would have had to do is build the homes properly in the first place. Please think twice before purchasing a KB Home. It has been the worst mistake I have ever made.
