I'll come here every week and tell you all the same thing until you get the message. This gal is authentic, she distinctive, and she's marketable. Bruce Springsteen. Elton John. Madonna. Rod Stewart. Tina Turner. None of these people can "sing" in the Whitney Houston before crack sense of the word, but they're all unique, which is why they're all MAJOR stars. Also, music is about energy and connecting with an audience, and Amanda did it on all fronts yesterday. Tell me the number she did yesterday wasn't like Tina Turner in her heyday. She'll get a contract, even if she loses because people are looking for another gummybear teenybop pop diva. They've got NOTHING new to offer. Amanda does.

Amanda has a unique style but she REALLY needs to get rid of the hair streaks. I get so focused on her hair that I tend to miss her performance, I like her though and hope she does well.

I would not put Elton John in with that list. He has a tremendous voice.

Each week people from sea to shining sea tune in to watch these bumbling idiots botch some of the classic songs of every era. Anyone else out there think David Archuleta is a young 'made for tv" brat? Decent enough vocals, but something about him makes me feel he's a phoney. I'm just waiting for him to say if he could have one thing in life---like the Miss America contestants---it would be "world peace".
