So much for a change at City Hall - Mayor Myer has keep the same Treasurer and has allowed the Controller that walked out on Tommy Nelson in the council meeting to walked back in and take the same position back. I guess it's a change back to the same problems as before.

Shut up loser. Your candidate lost. Game over. Myer has more leadership ability in his pinky than Nelson had in his entire self.

Myer is smart and he has really good ideas. It seems he has TERRIBLE taste in personnel. If he doesn't wise up soon, he won't be reelected.

Only conclusion I can come up with is he wants people who know what they're doing so he can spend more time running his personal business.

Had really high hopes for him, but very disappointed on personnel decisions. Did he check into his controller's history AT ALL? Very hard to understand what's going on!

I read in the Banner where Myer is planning on a splash park. Does anyone know exactly what this is and where it may be located.

I also hear he is planning a skate park, which I'm pretty sure will go over well. Even St. Francisville has a skate park.

If any of you fools were up on your sh*t you would know that Hospital Road is on the schedule to be widened and a center turn lane added next year.

By all means...lets put our children's quality of life to the bottom of the list. THAT makes alot of sense (rolls eyes).

Come on skate/splash park. Will be a great place as long as negative ninny T. Nelson voters boycott it.

Yeah, a lake that is full of pesticide and other agricultural runoff, not to mention snakes and even gators. Don't forget all the illegally dumped garbage along the banks that creates a safety hazard. I'm surprised no child has gotten hung up on the garbage beneath the surface and drowned yet. It's a very dangerous situation. THINK.

Well good luck finding a public place that the children/adults that don't live on the river can take a dip! Oh, unless you want to swim at Morrison Parkway with all the boats launching......

Bring on the skate/splash park....

Finally a mayor that thinks beyond cleaning garbage cans.......

splash park sounds like a good idea....but how about it be opened as a private business (good idea for you contractors out there)

not everything has to be a free public issue, at the expense of the tax payer

I hate to say it but we all know who takes over free public spaces......and i wish it wouldn't be that way. i would love to see all mankind come together! but there is still one part of mankind that holds a grudge for thing that happened 200 years ago to the 1970's.

please let it go, we're equals...if anything you have a leg up, dont abuse it and make society pay you back at the expense of everyones (including your own) livelihood.

HELP YOURSELVES!!!(get an extra job for a bit, save some money, and go buy your kid a pool)your lil ones dont have anything to do...give some chores, buy them a book, show them a path for success

don't pass on a belief of ...the man and the gov't OWES me something!

let the town handle priorities...then hopefully free recreation follows!

and if you can't tell...this rant extents further than a skate or splash park!

Does anyone remember the batting cage/game room or the bowling alley that lasted about 30 minutes - sounds like the Mayor wants to open more business for himself not the City
