I was at Popeyes last night. The employees were working very steady to get the orders out. The "Manager" started screaming at all of the employees....something that should have never happened.....much less in front of customers! A real morale buster he is! The next time I witness this happening, I'll contact his boss, the owner, and make a complaint. I wonder how he would feel if his boss came in and started yelling at him in front of customers and other employees. Number one rule of successful businesses.....a Manager NEVER hollers at employees....and when one does it (especially in front of customers) that Manager needs some serious training or possibly a new job somewhere else. My order was correct as it is every time I order from the New Roads Popeyes. My person at the register putting my order together was very nice, quiet and doing her job. After she was yelled at for no apparent reason, you could see the anguish in her face.....PITIFUL and very uncalled for!

If your order is ever incomplete, be sure to go inside to see if this "Manager" is hollering at the top of his lungs at the employees.....if he is, no wonder the employees get flustered and sometimes gets the orders mixed up!!!!!!!!!!

Funny, I always thought the #1 rule would be customer service, for which this establishment gets an F in my book. I've gone through the drive thru twice, and BOTH times waited in my vehicle for over 15 mins before finally having to walk inside and demand my food. And it was not b/c there was no food cooked. They had not even taken a box out to begin fixing my order. It was like I had never placed an order at all. So, the manager is not the only person to express their displeasure with these employees. I've sure given them a piece of my mind on 2 occasions. Lucky for them they won't have to hear it a 3rd time as I'll never give them business again. By the way, the 3 vehicles that drove up behind me had no problem getting there food and driving off. They also shared one thing in common with the employees that I didn't.

I never go there anymore. The wait is to long and order is wrong. Not worth the gas or time.

Wrong....I haven't been an "employee" in over 40 years. I am an employer and have been for over 40 years.

If what I witnessed in regard to the manager on duty is common in the New Roads location, I can understand the problem you and others have faced as I'm willing to bet the employee turnover rate is

I should have made my statement clearer. The #1 rule in reference for management dealing with employees should have been included in my statement.

I also don't share "the one thing in common with the employees" as you don't.

Willing to bet you would have walked out that night had you been an employee. I know I would have.

Maybe this manager was tired of dealing with employees not doing their jobs and was finally frustrated enough that they lost their cool? Since you say you don't work there, then you do not know what the environment is like each and every day. I can only say that I WISH there was a manager on duty that was willing to lay the law down on the employees NOT fixing my food for me. If I were the manager the employees I witnessed, I would have held the door open for them as they walked out.

With all due respect, it is not the customers responsibility to worry about the work environment. The customer has the right to expect fair, courteous and responsible service. McDonalds, Burger King, Subway and Popeyes have yet to exercise that responsibility in this town! I would like to say, if the people that work in these places would admit to themselves that they lack responsibility, commitment and pride in themselves, and try to improve, then maybe they could become acceptable and productive citizens in the community, but I can't because it's offensive to the slackers.....

Think you just hit the jackpot on the difference between the fast food places to eat in New Roads. Big Boys has had good service consistently over the years.

Why??? Management, plain and simple. Glynn has run his business well....top notch management! It takes a good manager to make any business successful....especially a fast food business! Other fast food businesses in New Roads need to find quality managers as well. That's the key!

Let's Top It also has good management and will, as well as Big Boys, be here long after other businesses have come and gone....simply due to good management!
