Their are many uncertified teachers at FRA. The teacher mentioned above is merely one of them. The school is falling apart.

I'm certified and highly qualified. Do you think they would hire me?

The pay is around 20,000 for first year teachers last I heard and an extra 500 for coaching a sport.

With the present head administration I wouldn't want to work there, unless you like to be disrespected and cussed by your boss and treated unprofessional.

Wow thats extremely low and only $500 as a coaching stipend? Any coach worth his salt puts in at least 30 hours per week with coaching related tasks easily especially football. I guess it's a stepping stone for some young kid who wants a title. Most coaches get at least 10-12% or higher of their base pay as a stipend.

This is a shame; I hate to hear this is happening. Teachers are an important backbone to a school and its success. I just hope something is done before FRA loses more good teachers.

Then we as parents and stock holders need to find out which board members blindly support him and elect someone else at the next stockholders meeting. We are a good school, good teachers, and good kids. More of us need to get involved myself included in contacting our board members. It is ashame when a great teacher who loves the school and kids is forced to resign because he doesn't fall on the right side of wrong.

If he didn't have the certs that he needed then why was he there to begin with? This has been going on at fra since the doors first opened. Why does this surprise anyone.

If you want to know if any teacher is certified in the state of Louisiana all you have to do is go on the web site www.teachlouisiana.com and the check their certification by name. You may be amazed to find out that FRA has very few with certification issues.

Good luck with that!

A few of us have tried for years....the board is the board, their minds are made up long before the stockholders get to them

All the normal people who get elected to that board quit after one term (or even before one term). Much like the parish school board, the core group is the same old crew supporting the good ol boy network. It's not about common sense or the kids. It's about the politics.
