I went there some time ago. Yes, there are some douche bags in every class but for the most part, I couldn't complain. There are a lot more common, middle-class, good people than you think. I know it gets the rap of having elitists, snobs and racists...and they do have some, but that's really not the norm. I don't know about now, but it was a very good school when I went there. We were taught well, very well-prepared for college. When I did go to college, it was a piece of cake because I did feel I was properly challenged academically while at Catholic.

Most likely the best school in the parish but does need some improvement. The teachers are decent and have the ability to do better. Overall a pretty decent school.

Used to be a good school, but is now awash in the the common people that post #3 makes reference to. Decent folks have to send their kids to Baton Rouge now if they want them kept away from the trash.

Oh, so you have a problem with "common people?" I guess any school with a lot of middle class people is bad, right? There are still really good kids that go to that school, and it's still a good school. I know a lot of the teachers and if I was looking for a school in the area to send my kids, I'd send them in a second. The hell with poking my nose up at the "common people" and wasting gas to drive them out to some other parish.

You're dreaming if you think that school is preparing your spawn to attend a college worth paying for. They just look good because their local competition can hardly even be called schools.

Yeah, I guess that's why my sister and I, who went there, were honor students in college--just in spite of it. I guess that's why every year I see my friends' little sister and brothers that go there get into good colleges and do well. Get the hell off your pedestal with all your booshie spawns. Every single school in this country has some bad apples that are assholes, pricks, bitches, morons and troublemakers. You find that everywhere; I don't care where you go. That doesn't mean the whole school is bad.

When I was there, of course, there was the big click with all the rich kids. That made up for probably almost half of my graduating class. But the rest of the people were cool, middle-class people like myself. And even though we might not have hung with the rich kids, we all got along. Everybody just did their own thing, and that was good, because there was never any kind of drama or BS that way. And the administration, they were never biased; they always treated everybody the same. Some of those people have gone since I've been there, but they still have a few left. Now, my sister is a teacher there, so I know from her that the rules and punishments have gotten much more lax since I've graduated.

People can say whatever, but I go to Catholic and there are a few stupid dumb ass' but other than that no one acts like there better than anyone. Some teachers don't care, but they have those at every school! And if the teachers just worried about money they sure as hell wouldn't be working there still! Pretty much everyone has respect for themselves and grades are great.

This has to be a joke. Clearly you, kid, don't have a clue. The staff at Catholic are paid much, much less than if they were to go to, say, a Catholic school in Baton Rouge and even more so in a public school. Is this the perfect school? Absolutely not. I think they do the best with what they have. I am not sure who is paying your way through school but they seem to be wasting a lot money on you. Maybe you should let them know how you really feel, "monkey sac"!(By the way, what kind of person calls themself monkey sac?)

Chspc is a good school but I do think that if you got $$$$$$ they will do anything for you and they have a lot of favoritism if I do say so myself. The sports are amazing. but I do have to say some teachers call the students names in class and make fun of them too it is terrible I think he should get fired many parents have made complaints but they have not did anything. Art teacher.

I know some parents who send their children there and I can tell you it is not about the money.Their children must have a voucher because these people have nothing. They send their children there so they do not have to take the test to graduate. They are there dumb and leave dumb and still very poor.If you live in a trailor or do not have a house of your own look for a better option.Livonia is a great school.
