There are a few day cares in New Roads. Call them and found out were they are, then go pop in and pay them visit to see what they do. Try to find a parent or two that would be willing to reference one. Also ask the daycare for some parent references of the children that attend that day care. Also if you were to want a sitter, sometimes there are ads in the banner or you could place one and do some interviews asking for refs and skills. When looking at a sitter you can also have background (criminal) check done on interested ones, at their cost not yours,$26 for the criminal background check,$10 for the fingerprinting that goes with it. There many sitters in the area that also have CPR and first aid training. Good luck and God's speed with your search!!

Key word "went". I am sure when your kids went there it was great, not so much anymore:( it's sad, I wish it was still great.

Raise your own children! Quit paying someone else to be the parent you dont want to be. If you didn't want to raise your own children then why did you have them???

Children in daycare advance at a faster rate mentally and socially than those who are home-only. Many mothers lack the training and discipline to properly teach their kids.

Riverside Eductional Development Center on New Roads Street by the post office and Regions bank down town is good they can give you references and they have a three and two year old program. They have full size cribs that are complaint to the new laws also. They are a Class B so they are not government run. They also believe in safty and loving the children alot...

Class A doesn't mean they are government run day cares. It means class A centers have to follow stricter regulations than class B day cares and can not under any circumstances administer any corporal punishment unlike class B centers class A can accept child care assistance. I own a class A center in baton rouge.

My son originally went to Happy Hearts and after about a month or so I heard about Riverside. All I had to do was go visit the daycare, speak with a couple of the workers and take a tour. My son started there 2 weeks later and I never stressed about him being somewhere else again. Was such a relief!

Riverside by the post office in New Roads! My kids go there and love it. Many activities for kids of all ages. They wake up ready to go instead of crying like they did at another daycare. They are Class B but run it like a Class A. Great environment and great staff!!!!
