If Darin McCallister was indicted on May 20, 2010 and Tommy was indicted on July 7, 2010, then McCallister would have been off the case for two months prior to Tommy's indictment?

You sound like you are grasping at straws, here.

Tommy was indited in May, 2010 but the contact and alleged transactions with the undercover agent was supposedly in 2007-2009. McCallister was found guilty in Dec. 2010 and will be sentenced in March, 2011. This may be interesting.

If the Bureau went through with their indictment of Tommy after this agent was indicted for other things, it must not affect Tommy's investigation.

Where does it say anything about McCallister being involved with Tommy's investigation?

After reading your previous posts, I find it hard to agree with you on most issues. But, on this post I agree with you fully!

He was 100% involved in Nelson's situation. The truth is starting to surface and I know you don't want to hear it. Question? Why did ya'll immediately call Tommy Nelson's name; what in the world did this guy do to make you hate him so much? Just curious!

I certainly don't hate Mr. Nelson, in fact I barely know him. I was agreeing that the opeaning posters lynk reavealed nothing about the Mayors. Don't accuse me of being a hater!

I apologize
Mr. Jimbo you are absolutely correct. However, there is documentation that this guy was over 90% involved with Nelson. There is even information that can be googled by tying in that Agents name if they haven't removed that from the internet yet. As you know the government can set a trap and try to cover it too! Trust me this case is a slam dunk for Nelson! Once again I apologize Mr. Jimbo!

Because the original poster referenced his investigation. Duh.

The bottom line is this agent is damaged goods! Can you imagine the U.S. Attorney putting this guy on the stand? That lawyer from Atlanta will have a field day with him. I can tell you this no slam dunk in a jury trial.

Where I don't see it! It only shows that you first called Tommy's name. The original poster said Mayor's not Tommy. Please show me where his name is mentioned before you mentioned it.

Thanks

Huh? what? Short bus? Your comment is without facts and it is not at all related? This is my first time hearing that Tommy stole anything, anything at all. Please provide proof!

Tommy was snared in the investigation titled "Blighted Officials" with the fake company Cifer 5000. Tommy was one of the Mayors caught in the sting. What are you getting at?

Here you go "rut" have someone read this to you. Pay special attention to the word "LIED" relative to what the lead investigator did.. With that being said how can you believe any of this?

READY READ!!

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- An FBI agent who possibly played a significant role in the "Operation Blighted Officials" investigation was recently found guilty on multiple counts of fraud and faces over 300 years in prison.

The development could affect the upcoming trials for some officials indicted following the investigation.

According to a federal indictment out of Nashville, FBI Special Agent Darin Lee McAllister lied about his salary to get over a million dollars in bank loans. In December, McAllister was found guilty of 15 counts of wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud. He now faces up to 315 years in prison and millions of dollars in fines.

Bruce Craft, the attorney for former White Castle Mayor Maurice Brown, said he was shocked to learn McAllister, who he said is listed as the lead investigator in "Operation Blighted Officials," was indicted on 19 counts of fraud around the same time his client, Brown, was charged.

"Clearly the timing is suspect," Craft said. "We know from a review of the indictment that this FBI agent was under investigation by the government at the same time he was acting as an agent in this case."

The FBI would not confirm McAllister is involved in the case and had no comment. Craft believes that significantly changes the government's position in the upcoming trials.

"We believe it affects the overall credibility of the government's case," Craft added.

McAllister is scheduled to be sentenced in March. The trial for Craft's client is scheduled for Feb. 22.

Brown, his brother, Police Chief Mario Brown, mayors George Grace of St. Gabriel, Derek Lewis of Port Allen and Tommy Nelson of New Roads are all charged with some form of corruption involving Cifer 5000, a garbage can cleaning machine.

I like the closing comment on the link above,
"The public is reminded that an indictment is a form of accusation and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt."

Based on what some posters here have said if we were to apply the same logic to the ex mayors situation then based on his indictment he is guilty?
