As soon as Mr. Torres takes office July 1 the process will begin. The petition will only require 33.3% of the registered voters in this Parish to accomplish the righting of this terrible injustice.

For what reason. I didn't vote for Bud Torres, but the man retired with honor from the La. State Police. He has never been in any trouble of any sort. He ran and won as Sheriff of Pointe Coupee Parish. The only people calling for a recall on October 31, 2007 to take effect on July of 2008 are those with an agenda or too much time on their hands. Which one are you?

I don't understand how it is an injustice. The people spoke. I don't think the recall will work. By the time July 1 comes, nobody is going to care anymore.

There are people that are mad about this election. It was to close. People thought the Sheriff would win and did not need to vote. They do not like the letter that Mr. Torris sent in the mail to them at the last minute. Mr. Torris had dirty ads in the paper. He talked behind the sherriffs back.

Word is out that JW and an helper TN passed out some green backs.

Recall is not about the Sherriff. Instead of letting the bad talk about the Sherriff drop people are still attacking his family. The people backing Mr. Torris are to blame. Stop bad talking the Sheriff or else. Let him alone so he can live.

How many voters is 33.3 percent.

Have you ever looked at the voter turnout from all the other elections?

A 67% turnout is HUGE. It's almost as good as you are going to get. If someone didn't vote because they thought PRS would win, I personally do not want them to vote because they are not very intelligent. You should vote for EVERY election, our ancestors died for us to do this.

There was bad talk from both sides, please do not go there.

The election was to close and people not letting the sherriff and his family alone. This happening for us not sherriff. The sherriff did not deserve to loose like this. Bad people on Mr. Torris side make this happen.

So instead of letting it go, you want to rehatch this whole thing again on July 1 just for the same result?

By July 1, everybody will have forgotten about this whole thing. If people really are "bad talking" PRS, then don't you think by July 1 it will all be ok. Then, because of your ignorance and stupidity, a recall issue comes up and the cycle starts all over again.

Just drop it, YOU need to leave the man alone and let him live his life.

One more thing, even if you get the 33% people necessary to recall the election, you will need more than 33% of the populations vote to win.

Recalls never work, and I strongly advise you to save your time and effort.

Once again, leave BOTH of these men alone. It was a long road for them to get through this election. Both of them are working together to make this parish better, but it's a shame that we have people like you as citizens.

Let who live his life? Sherriff got notting to do with this. He must be makin plans for his future. This is about Mr. Torris. If he the man then he will win after recall is over on next election. He say bad things about our sheriff. He want to fight that what he get. Election to close to let go that easy. If sheriff not want to run again then maybe somebody else take Mr. toriss on.

It is "too" close! Please read over your posts and correct them before posting. It just furthers the perception that the people of the parish can't read or write!

Law and vote is for everbody. Smart and all. I hear recall wins in small election to. Governor of California to. I am not to smart but I read and know some thing are not right. Somebody will help.

I got lawyer in family and he is smart like you to. If Mr. Torres is strong he will survive. Why you worry about what I say.

Ok, WOW, you just reached a whole different level my friend. Your proposition for a recall has EVERYTHING to do with PRS. If your recall goes through, isn't PRS the man you want to run?

I worry about what you say, because what you say makes NO SENSE. You claim you want PRS to be left alone and live his life. However, you also say you want a recall of this election. How is a recall going to let PRS "live his life"?

This is america. If Mr. Torris is meant to be sherriff then he will be sherriff. He take Mr. Pauls job too. Who say nobody can take his job away? Right is right and wrong is wrong. I never ask Mr. Paul for nothin and he never treat me or my family bad. Why we got to have a new sherriff when the old one was good? Mr. torris goning to have to prove the people want him in my book. Election too close.

It does not matter who run anymore. Mr. Paul can run if he want to I dont care. I hope he does but that is up to him. Mr. Torris got to win this thing better than he did. I dont trust him and the way people talk bad about Mr. Paul I dont like. This is not a good election. I think something wrong with first one and I wont to see for myself again what will happen. Recall is good. If Mr. torris is strong then that is how it will be but he got to be strong.

First thing I want to say is use your spell checker. Second thing is that Bud Torres would have talked to Paul Raymond's face if he would of just showed up. Give it a rest. Move on!

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
