Any decent areas around NPR / West Pasco to live?

I would appreciate honest feedback regarding any decent areas to move to around New Port Richey, Port Richey, etc.
My wife and I are thinking of moving to Pasco, but would like to be by the water/beach. It looks like tbe New Port Richey area is a nice option, but I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews on the Internet.
We do not have any kids (and not planning on any) so we aren't worried about schools. We also do not mind living around elderly people at all. We are in our 40s so we do not go out partying, etc. We just want to enjoy our lives and be together near the water in am affordable area.
We would like to live in an area that is decent, safe and not trashy. It doesn't have to be considered "upscale" or a rich area. Wherever we move, we just do not want to feel we are living in a Jerry Springer episode. This is not meant to be offensive, just a way to describe our thoughts.
If anyone could give any advice on what areas are decent. I know there are a lot of areas around West Pasco near the water - Hudson, Tarpon Springs, Port Richey, etc.
Please let me know. Thank you.

Gulf Harbors is a great small community on the water in NPR. Prices are excellent. Bought a house there last year.Has a private beach and neighbors seem friendly
