Can meditation really ease pain? Brain imagery confirms it
These magnetic resonance images from a Wake Forest University study published in the journal Neuroscience in April 2011 show how meditating reduced pain unpleasantness by 57 percent and pain intensity ratings by 40 percent when compared to rest.

It really depends because doing meditation is being one with yourself and to have inner peace but if the pain is already very painful, i don't know how you can manage to focus. However, it is best that you talk about with your doctor. See also http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/

I have severe pain, the doctors try to perscribe me heavy duty narcotics, i tell them i'd rather be in pain then to do these stupid pills.
I dont meditate, but i do know the power of the mind, really it's easy to look through the pain, for anyone out there with severe pain dont resort to pills, its a terrible road to travel, and in the long run pills will only break you down to the point where you dont want to live and people dont want you around.
