Marcellus Shale & Eminent Domain & FERC

Clearville property owners have discovered the Marcellus Shale is underneath their properties where a gas storage field is proposed. The federal government has given a private company from Texas the right to take their properties for natural gas underground storage in a formation called the Oriskany. Landowners cannot produce the Marcellus Shale because it is located on top of the storage field the government is putting on their properties.
Do you think it is right for the government to give private companies their land when natural gas could be produced locally instead of importing it in Pennsylvania then exporting it elsewhere? What is wrong with this picture? Landowners have no say, they are powerless. What would you do?

Theft is common when it comes to the riches of natural gas and the pockets it goes into while citizens pay high prices for what has been stolen. Do your own analysis of how gas companies have stolen billions in royalties, how they steal methane gas from property owners, doesn't it seem that the Federal Government has a nice system to allow these private companies to continue to steal more natural gas. I think the government should produce natural gas in this situation, it is a no brainer unless someone has plans which aren't being reported but produced.

We are sick and tired of seeing stories like this. All those storage fields and why Pennsylvania? We think the reason is the Marcellus Shale. We think there is probably a good business in gas storage fields and the only way to get in on the profits is to be a gas storage pipeline operator like Spectra. Then we guess we would go to FERC if we wanted some of those profits in a gas storage field near a rich Marcellus Shale gas field?
FERC are the ones allowing Spectra to gobble up and take private property for their money hungry appetites where it is satisfied in storage fields near Marcellus Shale fields. Spectra is an old company with a new name, it is a spin off of Duke Energy who had a nice reputation for not reporting profits on the internet under the Whistle Blower at Duke. Now they have a new name and continue to do their thing in Pennsylvania with a history of not reporting what they should report. Will the Marcellus be the unreported profits since it appears reports are not being reviewed properly with the government? We hope someone exposes this growth and why it is so good in Pennsylvania. We haven't seen any justice in Johnstown so far but maybe justice will have it's day after all! We will watch to see if corruption grows or the justice knows. Judge Gipson in Johnstown was appointed by Bush, The Commissioners at FERC was appointed by Bush. Get the picture of what they landowners are up to and what storage field operators are doing in PA? Legalized theft! Steal baby steal while they drill baby drill. What a genius plan to allow underground theft and it has been going on in PA for years...see how large PA is in gas storage fields and think how much has been stolen legally.

The Marcellus lies on top of the Oriskany. That is why they put gas storage fields in PA. Do your homework to see where the gas comes from for the Oriskany. These landowners are already robbed, FERC gave their land away and there will be no stopping this storage project. Looks like landowners didn't realize who they were dealing with when they wrote those comments to FERC CP08-15 DOCKET. Legal news has it that they are facing more injustice as the private company will try to keep landowners from presenting evidence at their jury trial. Like the Oriskany gets it gas from the Marcellus so will this project get what it wants from the source rock the company went to: the government agency called FERC and federal court rooms go by FERC rules.
