Y'know, this statement bothers me... I always thought is was an official's job to call what he sees on the field, OBJECTIVELY, and not go into a game with a particular predisposition about a particular player or team as this official did and apparently has done in the past.

The Ben Davis/Danville game at Center Grove was absolutely TERRIBLE! I do NOT know how or what happened but it was very clear that it was not a fair game. I wish that the game could be played over with a different ref so we could really see who would have one, even if it would have been Ben Davis. I also don't believe that the ref celebrating with Ben Davis after they got a goal and after their game was very apporopriate... Next time they have a referee for regionals I think they should check to see that he/she didn't graduate from one of the schools that he/she is officiating for...seriously

Let me educate you further.
Directly from the IHSAA website.
School/Enrollment/Football Class
Lebanon/1016/4A
Frankfort/946/4A
Danville/763/3A
Crawfordsville/706/3A
Northmont/706/3A
Southmont/628/3A
WeBo/612/3A
Tri-West/544/2A
I'm sorry what was that you were saying about WeBo?
Technically, Danville's enrollment is 40% greater than Tri-West's. But, to point this out would be splitting hairs, huh?
One final note. If the Danville players were not dirty, why did the referee caution (issue a Yellow Card for you Danville fans) to Popp in the game and then with less than 10 seconds pull his card again preparing to caution Popp and then return it to his pocket, only when he found out that Danville was hosting a tournament the following weekend. If he had cautioned Popp a second time, he would have been forced to miss the first game of the tournament. The second "cautionable" foul was for lifting the opposing player's legs off the ground and throwing him down.
I guess when you are used to scoring 5 goals a game but can't get one against a real team, you get pretty frustrated. The defender had taken the ball away from him.
So there you have it soccer fans, you don't need to take my word for it. The referee himself saw and penalized Danville for dirty play. How impartial can that be?
Still waiting for an informed reply.
BTW, I think Dave's Pizza is having a special today. It is crow. A very popular dish in Danville.
Here's your informed answer:

I don't think Popp gets mad when somebody steals the ball from him. He's way ahead of anybody he's played against in that category. BTW, in Indiana High Scool Soccer there is what is known as a "soft red". Yes, on your second yellow card you do have to leave the game but your team does NOT have to play a man down and you ARE allowed to play the following game. The crow is very good at Dave's. You should try some.

I think that it was wrong to keep Danni Bishop in a game so she could just improve her stats. When the danville girls soccer team had to play Tri-west, they got straight up dominated because their one man system could not hold up against a team that passed and shared the ball with each other. In that game the Tri-west team had six different girls to score. Now thats a real team!

Also Danni cracked under pressure from defender, Kara Brothers and mid fielder, Abby Kahl. Not just forwards should be called star players.
