This is where my cucumber reference came from:

Veteranarians disclosed today that the "dog" puppy was actually an elaborate "hoax" by several Phi Beta Kappa Von Dykes (a local college lesbian scientific fraternity) The dykes mated a cucumber with a common yard mole and the result was this slimey puppy like worm that they then tired of and simply dropped off at a local dog pound. The puppy, set to be Euthanized yesterday , ended up in a Garden salad at the local "olive Garden " when pound workers decided to "have a little fun " of their own with the vegetable pup.
