Why not wait until someone get killed by a bear. I realize that bears will not normally bother humans but they are wild animals. It does happen.
Its to bad that humans keep building, destroying habitat that the animals need.
Hopefull there will be sufficient food in the woods to keep the bears there instead of at our schools or homes.

The New Jersey's Fish and Wildlife authorities have always been trigger happy. They always vote for hunting instead of learning how to deal with what we created. Would it be nice if someone decided it was time to thin the population so we wouldn't have traffic jams. Everyone complains that they can kill a person. So why buy a house in their backyard. Don't like the wild life? Move to harlem. At least there the humans are killing humans. We are all Gods creatures, we are here to take care of each other, it is not our decision to decide who can live and who can't.

I am a lil ole Traditional Jewish hausfrau and I feel that we humans have dominion over thee animals as Hashem specified in the Tanakh. Therefore, I think we have thee right to build as we wish and to deal with thee bear problem in our area as we see fit.

Shalom.

if you're so brave, pitch a tent in the woods, then tell us whether or not you think they're dangerous.

no threat? tell that to the guy in washington who lost an eye and whose face was torn apart by one a few days ago!!

the "if you leave them alone, they won't bother you" attitude has to stop. you're only kidding yourself. they are wild, unpredictable animals who cannot be trusted to leave you alone if you just walk away.

ron, if you don't like sharing the land with humans or hearing rifle shots, leave the country and go to a city (oh, i forgot, you'll find animals and guns there, too)......moron.
