I think if it is okay to express your opinion to burn the flag, then hanging it upside down should be allowed also. We are allowed to expess our opinion about our representatives, about the laws, the government, each other, religions, and neighbors. But not by flipping the flap? We ARE in a state of crisis. GO FOR IT. I support her.

She has the right to freedom of speech. She isn't showing as much disrespect as the ones who voted for the health care after knowing what it's going to do to our nation. It's time more people stood up to these crooks and vote them out of office.

I really got angry when this lady was talking about the red in the flag representing the blood of the men and women who have died for our freedom since she is disrespecting them. As an active-duty military wife and Iraq veteran, I would like for her to know how offensive this display is, especially near Veteran's day. I hope her HOA sues her and forces the flag to either be displayed properly or taken down.

This woman is nuts!!!! She should be ashamed of herself. Her husband is a retired full bird colonel and he works for a defense contractor SAIC. If she wants to protest she needs to send a letter to her congressman. The flag represent the United States of America not personal protest. She and her husband should be ashamed

We the People are just as offended by people who fail to honor our Constitutional heritage and the 1st amendment freedom to express one's own opinion as some seem to be by her expressing her opinion.

I agree with what she is doing, I think it is a bold move and one that has made her voice heard. We are a country founded on freedom of speech, and she can express it whatever way she feels. If this was some kind celebrity everyone would be praising them. Its funny how so many people could call Bush Hitler and every other name under the sun, and not receive any criticism for it, and now when we protest things that we don't agree with that obama is doing, we get shot down. Its a two way street, and most people only go one direction.

I agree with Debbie Orr. When President Obama went into office, I knew the freedom of the USA is over. I love the freedom we have, but I at that we are heading to socialism and government runned. The only thing that can be done is that every Christians would pray to the one true God and pray for His grace and help. Again, I say, go debbie go.

I support Debbie and her freedom of speech. Patricia's comment displaying the flag upsidedown is against the HOA restrictions is probably a false statement and she is attempting to use "the law" to squelch freedom of speech on an issue (Obama Health Care) she supports. In fact, I think I'll hang my American flag upside down to both support Debbie and to challange my HOA to confront me on it.

This is not what the distressed flag was intended for. This is a childish and an ignorant response to an issue that we must address. I wonder if Ms. Orr will be turning down medicaid/medicare and SS when she is eligible for these very basic American entitlements....I don't think so. Please stop disrespecting our flag and go vote to express your dislike with health care reform!

I understand why she is doing this and I commend her for expressing her opinion. I feel the same way about the government health care plan. Although a few year ago I would have call this a disgrace to the flag, however our own politicians in Washington have basically disgraced what the flag represents by passing this bill. I say to her to stay with it maybe this story will open the eyes of our elected officials.

This woman has a right to her political opinion; however, she has moved into a neighborhood with restrictions and if she wants to have her "freedom" then she needs to move into a neighborhood where there are no restrictions. There are many neighborhoods in Madison County where there are no Homeowner's Associations.

I think she is right in her protest and laws like the one that says she is wrong are just another way of taking our American rights away.

I'm glad that someone is taking a stand in defense of our nation and the fact that the health care reform does violate our rights and our constitution.
