This recall is nothing but an attempt to get back at members of the Board that wanted to reduce costs for the Township. The solution to the Police force is, in my opinion, to have the services provided by the Flushing City Police. The City is completely in the Township, covers both sides of the River, and administrative costs would be reduced. Today, because the Middle and High Schools are located in the Township, the burden of police coverage falls on the Township. It does not take a mental giant to figure out that we need to reduce cost in these economic times and this is a good solution. The Fire Department is already serving both entities.
