What a shame!! Another example why the homosexuals need their own country.

We do have our own country. It's called United States of America where we are free to choose our lifestyle. You are almost as dumb as those trying to take our right to own guns in this country! Grow up and realize that not every one is the same.

I dont like that my boy may see a man kissing another man, when he is raised to know marriage is between man and woman, they can do what they want behind closed doors, but keep it out of sight of children. Go ahead and bash me I really dont give a sh*t. I dont want men on men, women on women to be the new normal....

Unfortunately(for you), the world doesn't revolve around what you like or don't like.

<quoted text>
Its not just me and my way of life, some people live by the good book, and believe in raising their family by the bible. And yes the world does revolve around my family and I, thats all that matters to me in life.... They take prayer out of school, and want to remove God from alot of things, yet they allow gays on tv, and promote gay rights as away of life.

I know this is a hot topic and gets heated quickly. I have a question though that goes along with my experiences in the Army. I never understood the difference of a soldier serving having to hide what was obvious anyway.

Imagine you have a 12yr old child that wants to enter your troop. He seems awkward and tends to be feminine in actions but has no idea of his sexuality, ie he does not identify himself as gay. His parents do not identify him as gay. In fact, his parents are married heterosexual and the father seems the all american father.
Do you exclude him because he might be? or he may become in the future through self identification? Or do you accept him and make him welcome, try to get him involved and toughen him up, lets say to make a man out of him? Either way, you are dealing with a child correct?

I am just wondering what peoples opinion of this scenario.

I will go first. I would never harm a child physically, emotionally or mentally. I would accept him into the troop and make him comfortable to be himself. His sexual preference would not be my concern but something for him and his family to deal with. I would use the opportunity to explain to my child that compassion for another person overrides his personal belief of right and wrong and that it would not be for him to judge this child, and I would expect my child learn from the differences around us, not attack someone for being different. When this happened with my kids, I taught them that we are ALL gods children. I heard childish comments from time to time but I never seen my kids treat others differently (especially handicapped people). Both of my kids are in college now and both of them are as "normal" as I raised them. They fit in with EVERYONE. I never felt that my kids were influenced by much other than what was taught at home. But I also taught my kids that PDA did not belong in public as well as their personal business.

I personally believe that a persons sexual preference should be just that. Personal. I understand that some feel that GLBT has been shoved down their throats and interfered with the way they choose to raise their children so I can understand both sides of the argument.
But the final question comes down to this: What would you do if your child came to you and told you that they were gay and could not help the way they feel?

For me to answer your last question is that HE/SHE is my son or daughter and no matter what they pick in life I have to be there for them, when it comes to that side of the fence they are my child end of story.

As far as the rest I do agree with what you explained and that is if you pick your life and go down what ever road you pick then so be it do not ask me to help you out as it is not my place to help, it's your road not mine or my family.

I fully agree with PDA it's not that I don't dislike it, but it is what it is personal, a hug, handshake, or even a kiss on the cheek is ok, but to have to explain to a child who is in the age range of 2 to 10 of why those two men or two women are kissing like you and mommy do when your home is not the type of display I what to have to explain in public.

I find it hard to give good reason when that type of display is forced upon my life.

That said I also would not take my child to an area that has the chance of that happening in front of my child.

This issue is another example of the breakdown of family values that our country was built on. Hard work, honesty ,Mom & Pop and apple pie. Needless to say, if my son ever complains about some Jerry Sandusky faggot trying something - the neutering process will begin on the God-forsaken animal that tries it. Shame on the acceptance of such aberration .

Mom and Pop just hid it better because of bigots like you. Jerry Sandusky cannot be compared to a gay person but his horrible actions can be compared to your same mental defect that creates and fosters hate and the degrading will you seek to impose on those who only want equality.

Please refrain from using the word bigot. In today's society that is a racist term. YOUR president made it that way

Normalizing an abnormal behavior does not make it right. BSA has relied upon churches for their programs for years. It will be interesting to see the backlash. I also reject the notion that all gays are pedohiles. It just happened that Sandusky was a gay pedophile. So, I don't condone the behavior but if folks want to behave that way, keep it out of my zone! One day we will all have our judgement day. I'll worry about myself !

LOL. so much for a conversation/debate huh?
A couple of notes before I leave this conversation:
bigot (ˈbɪ&#60 9;ət)
n
a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, esp on religion, politics, or race

Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.[1](Leviticus 18:22 KJV) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.[2](Leviticus 20:13 KJV)
BUT BE SURE TO INCLUDE THIS SCRIPTURE BEFORE YOU CONDEMN
Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, malakoi, arsenokoitai, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers, none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)[25]

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone John 8:1-11.

When you use the bible to condemn others, I hope you measure up to your same standards. Homosexuality is not the only sin. And after all, a child who is lost should not have a chance to learn from others, to learn the error of their ways, should be cast out until they have changed right? Sounds narrow minded if you ask me.

Funny thing is, I am against homosexuality as an act or behavior. I do not feel that sexuality is a public thing no matter sexual preference. But I am also ABSOLUTELY against shunning a child.

When you are a queer your little(or big) "devious plan" will "blowup" in your face if you want it too.
