You first have to get the hotels in, then comes the restaurants.

If Rose has his way there will not be any restaurants out there, as it would take the traffic out of Leesville cutting down on people going to most of the restaurants in town, which would dry up !(I hope)

Leesville is growing, both in and outside of the city limits. Entrance road needs new accommodations, as does the city itself. Eventually it will begin on highway 467, where hotels will probably come first, followed by attractions.

In addition to the usual fast food restaurants, Leesville has, by my count:
1 soup and sandwich restaurant
3 Mexican restaurants
2 seafood restaurants
2 diners
1 Italian restaurant
3 Chinese restaurants
1 Thai restaurant
1 Korean restaurant
1 Japanese restaurant
2 steakhouses
3 home-cookin' restaurants
3 crawfish restaurants
1 muffaletta shop
1 fine-dining restaurant

Not bad for a town of this size. Compare that with Many or DeRidder or Oakdale.

So when you say we need more places to eat, can you be more specific? What exactly is it you're wanting?

Most of these establishments are owned by people who live here! So the profits stay in the area! Many if these eating establishments are first or second generation business owners!

We used to eat at the Wagon Masters monthly for years and stopped because they are over priced for what you get, never change the menu and the food is never consistent. Chain restaurants like Chilis add new items to their menu yearly sometimes two times a year.
If local establishments would lower their prices and fix up their menus they would get more customers.
I am not the only one that thinks this way I have come across MANY families that are in the same boat as me. People just stay home and cook for themselves.

Just wondering if you ate the same thing every time? I like Wagon Master all though they need to hire a cleaning team.

I see someone needs attention tonight. Got anything worthy to contribute or are you just going to pop in your cute little one liners that really lack imagination, creativity or a developed thought process? Come on, start the name calling, childish comments and rumor mill rants, get it out of your system before mommy and daddy find out that you are unsupervised.

Dammit, that was my outside voice wasnt it?:|
