I'll wait to see what kind of slap on the wrists this bunch gets before I get into it too bad. We can probably expect to har about how these "boys" came from "broken homes" or were abused or another one of those defenses (nothing personal about Tony Bennett, I understand that an attorney gets paid to do whatever works). I really think it is about time we start holding people accountable. I believe that punishment and accountability are the best way to "rehabilitate" our criminals. I think it is apparent that probation and therapy are not doing the job. I think someone needs to look at the recividism rate in the 36th judicial district. I haven't really had a chance to see our new judges in action, and I hope that they do the job they were hired to do, protect the people of this parish. As for the District Attorney's plea bargin policy, I want to see the offender plea bargined down to nothing when the victim is a member of his family or one of his "friends"(political friends) families. Make an example of someone who has a family name that is not liked, or is not properly "established/connected) in the parish and let the rest go. That seems to be the policy.

a crooked town begins with crooked politics. Start with law enforcement. They need to be used as examples to others.

You said it! My sister got pulled over by a cop on Vernon Lake road who said she was going 48 in a 35. I'm here to tell you that's impossible! For one I was in the car with her and very plainly saw that the speedometer said 37. On top of that she it in 3rd gear. Her car has a 6 speed stick and it winds out at 40 in 3rd gear. She contested it on the spot and the cop told her that if she argued he'd arrest her for resisting an officer of the law. She knew he was full of it, I knew he was full of it and he knew he was lying through his teeth. She took it the DA and they graciously made a non-moving violation. In other words they sided with the lying SOB! This is the kind of people who are supposed to be role models for our kids. Al Capone would be a better role model!

Well, now you know what to do in situations like this?? Make NOISE! write complaints on officers who are abusing their authority eventually it will catch up to them. If I see as much as a city cop doing 3 mph over the limit I call it in to dispatch. Let them know the people are not to be pushed around by macho bully cops! call them in! get cops like Perrot off our streets! We have a voice and we will not be pushed around any longer!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Gemini

Mercury will backtrack through your finances over the next few weeks, which isn't a very seasonal thought if you're already well aware that you've overspent this month. Be prepared to do some juggling or to seek expert advice if you're worried about how you're going to cope. You may be kept busy handling inheritance, tax or insurance matters, preparing investment analysis, and allocating funds for the repayment or collection of debts.
