Over 100 people per day die, overdosing on prescription painkillers. They should be outlawed!

Throwing pills at over 2000 feet per second is deadly.

Prescription pain pills are very dangerous and should not be prescribed as much as they are.... I think they say it is one of the main causes of death in our country today.

By outlawing pain pills will do more harm than good . All you would be doing is opening a gate for black marketing these pills . Just like when proabition happened in the 1930's I believe the enforcement should be more towards the doctors that are writing these perscriptions . DEA , & FDA needs to find a way to regulate the Dr's on how they write these scripts . Where there's always a demand their's always going to be a supply of these pain pills . But I don't believe that simply outlawing it will be the solution to the epidemic . These Dr's should be held accountable for their actions on writing these perscriptions for narcotics . Sure some patients may need a strong pain med to control their pain , but these Dr's need to know where to draw the line on how much and how often they need these meds . Their are people out there that really need to have these pain meds to control their pain and this is where the Dr's need to know where to draw the line . There are people out there that abuse these pain pills and that really don't have a pain issue . These people that are not really in pain are making it difficult for the ones who really need these meds , this is where I believe that the Dr's should know , know the bad ones from the good . But by outlawing it , in my perspective would open a new can of worms .

I've copied Zombie Slayer's post and changed just a few words which I've put in CAPS so they'll be easy to find. Otherwise, every word is the same.

By outlawing GUNS will do more harm than good . All you would be doing is opening a gate for black marketing these WEAPONS . Just like when proabition happened in the 1930's I believe the enforcement should be more towards the PEOPLE that are SUPPLYING these WEAPONS . ATF needs to find a way to regulate the SELLERS on how they SELL THESE WEAPONS . Where there's always a demand their's always going to be a supply of these WEAPONS . But I don't believe that simply outlawing it will be the solution to the epidemic . These SELLERS should be held accountable for their actions on SELLING THESE WEAPONS for KILLING . Sure some patients may need a WEAPON , but these SELLERS need to know where to draw the line on how MANY and how often they need these GUNS . Their are people out there that really need to have these GUNS and this is where the SELLERS need to know where to draw the line . There are people out there that abuse these WEAPONS and that really don't have a GUN issue . These people that are not really NEEDING A GUN are making it difficult for the ones who really need these GUNS , this is where I believe that the SELLERS should know , know the bad ones from the good . But by outlawing it , in my perspective would open a new can of worms .

I also agree you on the issue about gun control . The old saying is ;" GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE , PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE ! "

Are you freakin' serious? My post was meant to be sarcastic.

So you're sayin' that if I purchase a semi-automatic weapon and a high capacity magazine and then go and shoot 25 people, the person who sold me the gun should be held responsible? For real?

I suppose you also think that if I buy a new Chevy and run over 6 people, the Chevy dealer should be held responsible?

I know it's not the whole problem but parents need to quite allowing their children to play some of these video games. Some are so gory, bloody, and extremely realistic and most are played on huge TVs which make it seem even more realistic. Think about it. This is a real problem.
They choose their weapon, they plot and plan, and it looks so real. They see this all day, they get desensitized to this, sometimes to the point that human life has no value to them. If something or someone gets in thier way, they just get rid if it and dont think twice about it and never take time to think about the severity of their actions nor the consequences.

how about a new saying "people with guns are more likely to shoot people than people with out guns". that is just as true. thank God we live in the U.S.A. so we can make these choices for our self. pain pills do have a use however its the doctors that need to be sure the people are getting what they need and not abusing them.

FYI: I do have brains.(And still pray for wisdom)
I never said that all the problems of the world are caused by videogames and big TVs.(Scroll up)
Actually I said "I know it's NOT the whole prob". However, It is a problem, It is a huge problem, Something needs to be done about this and I do not in any shape, form, or fashion need you to validate me (although you are entitled to your opinion).
I do agree that God needs to be in the home. God needs to be in your home. God needs to be in my home. So many people these days are so far from God that they are selfish and do not want to hear it, You mention God and they shut down and quit listening. I was just trying to give them something to think about and consider (Without shoving God down their throats). Small steps in the right direction is at least progress being made.
I hate that you feel this way but, I am actually glad that you replied to my quote so I can clarify this and also, I will remember you in my prayers tonight. Thanks, hope you have a wonderful night!

[ "people with guns are more likely to shoot people than people with out guns".]

If guns were banned/outlawed, the law abiding citizens would not have guns but every thieving, dope smoking thug would have one.

*** Decent people without guns are more likely to be shot by thugs with guns... and robbed by thugs with guns... and raped by thugs with guns.***

Do you really think that every gun out there is registered. Do you really think that every thug out there will willingly turn their's in. Absolutely not.
