No Wheels Allowed

The Town of New Llano will soon be off limits to skateboards, roller blades, roller skates and bicycles, unless on private property. via Leesville Daily Leader

I think the outlaw of wheels is ridiculous and just another way to restrict rights of so many people. Just because it is allowed on private property does not prove to be merciful. What if one does not have a place on their personal property to skate or bike? Then do they just simply not get to enjoy their hobbies? Perhaps if there was a skatepark or just some place for skaters and bikers to go to enjoy themselves then we wouldn't be having this ban. Also what exactly is the reason for the ban?

I live in deridder La. we have no where to skate at the police keep busting us every where. some of my would like a skate park here please and thank you

For a whle now I have considered building one, but due to legal issues it has been postponed. Leesville or Deridder would be improved with one to help keep the younger people out of trouble.

Lets also remember the location of said skateboard park,Leesville has talked about placing it in Lee hills or the ball park. They already have parks over on that side of town that nobody takes care of, lets get something on the other side of town.
