Just this moron down. He doesnt care about these poor, defenseless animals! We need harsher laws for these puppy millers, huge fines, jail time! When the demand goes down for these designer dogs the puppy mills will go out of business. There are plenty of unwanted dogs and cats at the humane societies and county dog pounds. Many of them being euthanized due to not enough people to adopt. I worked in rescue for years and it broke my heart everyday to see so many wonderful, beautiful, mixed and purebred dogs being gassed because there wasnt enought room or there 3 day chance of being adopted was up. STOP PUPPY MILLERS

Tear down and offer the property to landlords who care about their tenants. Give them a tax break for the next 10 years, The county should also apply for grants for new housing from the state or federal government!!

To Nancy M. I would think That with everyone behind the fact that these poor animals are treated badly you would realize you were either lucky to get a healthy pet or you are getting a kickback.I have been there and no such good care has been given to these animals. I for one would like to be in charge of what he , his girlfreind and wife gets. And to Grama60 since she is there in the same residence and sees what goes on then she is as guilty as they are. And to Drew this town dosen't have a Humane office and the people that run our Dog pound are no more respectible than Dutiel and his wife and girl freind. Like I said I would like to have all three of them just let me do what I feel they deserve for three months they'd wish they were never born. and I wouldn't have one moment of remorse over it fact is it would give me great pleaser I live in the same town he does and it sickens my stomache to see hinm I have two dogs and and they live better than most people do. Oh and by the way to SO WHAT it only cost around a hundred dollars to have your pet spayed or neutered. Why kill them maybe if that was the way to go then we should euthanize most of the Dead beat Dads

I have lived in perry County all my life and have seen the way the system works here. What appears to be an open & shut case usually isn't, because somewhere along the line someone (investigator, prosecutor, judge) does something that allows a case to be thrown out of court. I have never been to the Wagon Wheel Ranch (and I suspect many of the posters here have never been there either) so I cannot comment on the conditions, but I will say that approx. 4 years ago I was at the dog shelter in New Lex when Mr. Dutiel came in upset that someone had complained about the condition of his pens. Mr Dutiel stated his pens were cleaned every day, and didn't want people saying otherwise. He insisted that the dog warden come out to inspect his property to verify the conditions. The dog warden flatly refused, saying he had more important things to do than to look at cages. I don't think we have the same dog warden as we did then, but the county did have a chance to inspect the property, but officials were "too busy" to do it.
Well the dog warden we have now is a no account ass that is only in it for the money he and his assistants are worthless I am a perry county person and have delt with them Worthless I say money being thrown away on them

I have bought several animals over the years from Donald Dutiel with friends or by myself. Most of them were sickly. Most of the animals he finds that were abandoned by others and he profits from it. There should be a law requiring sellers of animals to show proof of vaccinations, where pet was obtained, statement of health, etc. to assure quality animals from breeders and puppy mills like this one. He is a disgrace to the human race. It would be nice if some animals would find Donald Dutiel treat Him the way he treats the animals and sell him to other animals ! I wonder how he would like that !!

Not all of Dons rentals are dumps, and the dogs cages are cleaned and they always have food and water...instead of getting on here whining about the mistreated dogs go out and see for yourself. He gets all the unwanted dogs and puppies from New Lex residents who didn't want them, atleast he feeds them and houses them, true some are sick, but when people take them to him they aren't healthy...and don't feel sorry for his renters, not all are bad but he gets a lot of people who tear the houses up and have dogs and cats using the bathroom inside and they don't clean it up, feel sorry for the kids living in this condition and ask yourself why everyones concentrating on the landlord and not the tenants choosing to live that way, and ask why if he so mistreats the dogs why people keep taking more to him, why people still buy them and why no humane agent has ever done anything? If he had something to hide he wouldn't give you a tour of the place for sure, which if you go out on any given day he will give you a tour. Everyone wanna bash Don on here but no one wants to take care the dogs themselves, no one wants to fix their own house...if its land contract you're buying it, fix it, stop putting all the weight on his shoulders, the dog problem is a New Lex problem, not just Dutiel to blame, and the house conditions are a result of bad tenants. He does fix things on his houses, and if he didn't he'd be paying all kinds of fines and being cited from Health Dept. The people complaining are probably the ones who can't get smtn fixed cause his workers refuse to step in the place and they not gonna call city or health dept because they don't want anyone seeing how they live, so they complain about the landlord instead, instead of people gettin on here bashin him why don't you go look how some the people live? Walkin around in a house with animal feces on the floor callin Don to come fix a leak.
