Just a few blocks from my house. Drove past there a couple of times yesterday, wondered why all the emergency vehicles were there. My wife thinks she knows the victim's mother. Shame.

OK. Not to stir up the issue of gun control, but one of the reasons why there should be tougher gun control. Although if the victims knew each other, the suspect probably would have used another form of weapon.

The offender in this case could not legally possess a firearm anyway.

I am not familiar with the name of the offender, you must be...if you know he couldn't legally obtain a firearm. Am I to assume this man has been in trouble with the law before?

So, let the crooks keep getting them via their usual criminal way, and let the innocent, responsible gun owner suffer?

You can add 100 more laws and the criminals will find 100 new ways to get a gun.

Perhaps putting killers away in a cell with no TV, no exercise, no free healthcare, one meal a day, no library, etc. and jail may be something people actually try to stay away from!

OK I knew that will get ppl going. I wish we can live in a world where ppl can calmly talk through their differences. I don't see that happening anytime soon. That was the point I was trying to say.
But since I did stir the beeís nest, this is my view. I don't want gun in my house, but I do respect my constitutional right to bear them. I know this is a hot topic in my house so....itís got to be a burning one on Topix.

I totally see you point "huh". I agree. I saw a TV show where they took prisoners in South America. A place where prisoners were allowed guns, grenades, and all kinds of nastiness! Wow our prisoners are at a Ritz in comparison.

My Take On The Subject

Regarding the murder of Ron Robb, Jr.-
Ronnie Robb, Sr.(deceased in the mid-1980's) and the Robb family own Will County Well & Pump - also on Cedar Road in New Lenox.
Sympathies go out to his mother Jackie and brother Corey, who have had their share of family heartbreak and tragedy.
This only proves that alcohol, tempers and guns never mix.
We knew Little Ronnie when he was younger - he had such potential that will, now, never be known.
May he rest in peace.

The Rob family has seen it's share of hard times. Jackie, is the strongest person I know. She has her family and faith to guide her to some form of peace.

You would think a police officers son would know gun safety laws and practice them! My children do! The loss on any child is unconscionable loss and the family should be supported.
