New Lenox had a pretty good line-up this year. But I only wanted to see the last one. I was not about to pay for three concerts. The brilliant minds who were in charge of this should have offered a pro-rated rate as each of these shows was done. But no, they still wanted you to pay full freight.$120 for 2 tickets, I don't think so!

It's a work in progress. Maybe they will have learned from the past for next year. I agree with you. Who wants to pay for concerts they don't want to see?

I heard they are going to offer the shows individually next year so you can quit whining. This was told to me by my friend who purchased 8 tickets to this year's events and inquired about next year. $120 for tickets to see at least 8 bands and 3 summer nights out with friends sounds cheap to me.

I heard the sound was not so great at this last concert. BOC was OK, but Kansas was old and should not have been the headliner. True?

Mayor Balderman really did a good job beltin' out "The thrill is gone"
One could tell he put some real work and effort into his performance. Well done Yer Honor.
You could sing with us anytime.
Three cheers for home spun talent and guts!

For a about $16 you can come out to a nice venue that's close to home and enjoy some original artists. There is no way to please everyone so the series of concerts works out well. Last years Peter Frampton concert was the best one for me but I thought Blue Oyster Cult and Kansas did a good job. Vocals weren't the greatest but instrumentals were fantastic. The food wasn't as good as last year, we need a little more variety. LA Cafe & Rising Sun would be a great addition. Other than that it was a great series and I can't wait until next year.

Just think of the decimation of the dog population if Rising Sun AND L.A. Cafe have a booth there.

It was not $120 for two tickets....you pay $60 for the pass. You pay it if you want three shows or if you were a late comer and only want to see one of the shows....NOT $120.

Instead of paying for 3 different bands, get one good one! I would pay more for one ticket than for the cost of 3 for a really good band. We need someone up to date. These guys are all 100! If we have to have oldies - how about Eddie Money? He plays the Cubby Bear and around Chicago alot. Goo Goo Dolls would be great. You would get alot more people buying the tickets.

And where do you expect all of these people to sit? There is no room as it is.

Well, its official. The bands playing this year are Starship, Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon. Sounds like a good line up to me.

Goo Goo Dolls would be great! Saw them at Northerly Island last summer and they were awesome! I wonder how much these bands charge? I know that Goo Goo Dolls are around $50,000 for a concert. How much are these other bands?

Thanks for bringing this up again? I can't believe the Goo Goo Dolls only charge $50,000/concert. That seems cheap to me. I bet it costs way more for past bands being played.

Mr. Balderman, if you are reading these posts - PLEASE look into the Goo Goo Dolls! People will come from all over to see them. Eddie Money, too!

Let's spend money on ONE good band! It would be awesome. Just try it differently this summer and if it don't work then we can go back to the three oldies.

Where is your proof of that? Cheap Trick is the only one worth seeing. REO sucks.

Why doesn't Mayor Balderman have a poll to vote on the bands playing the series? It's our town - let us decide. We are paying the band's salary by purchasing tickets to see them. Why does Balderman get to make the final decision? Just because he thought of the idea does mean he gets to decide what is best. They should have a vote on here or the village website on who should play. This is a democracy still right? Do the right thing Mayor and let the people of the village decide.
