I have just received information that the New Lenox Party Planning Commitee has secured Neil Diamond for the headline performer of the 2010 summer concert event! The ticket prices, however, have been increased to $75.00 for the three concert event. The Gold Member tickets will go for $200.00. This enables the holder to have a quaint luncheon with the performer. Cracklin Rosie, lets everyone get on board and secure your position in history! Neil Diamond will rock New Lenox!!! Also, I have heard that a Neil Diamond look alike contest will be conducted during Proud American Days. The winner will receive 2 Gold Tickets for the event!! Congratulations New Lenox, you have found numerous ways to beat the economic slowdown and keep truckin'. New Lenox continues to thrive, as surrounding communities buckle under the contraints of the crippled economy. Hip Hip Horay! Hip Hip Horay! You cannot stop this machine!!!!!

YESSSSSSSS I heard this as well. I am attending the next board meeting and attempting to get my name on the preferred waiting list. I have my 200 bucks ready! This blows away last years lineup. I heard he agreed to this because he has a aunt that may possibly live in New Lenox and has agreed to this this as a favor to her. Thank you New Lenox!

If it sounds too good to be true... it probably is simply a great rumor.

Ok - truth - How old are you people? Let me guess, you have to be over 60 right?
I can HONESTLY say that I don't know ANYONE in my age group (or younger) that would enjoy this guy!
If we get Neil Diamond, we will definitely have to get someone else as well to please ALL age groups. We cannot spend all our money on him! NO WAY!

If Neil Diamond performs AMERICA in New Lenox, he'll have to change the lyrics. The song is about immigrants wanting to come here. But in the "Home of Proud Americans" it might be more appropriate if Neil sang: On the boats or on the planes Please stay out of America If you cross the border again Please get out of America Got a dream to take them there Dry-walling in America Got a skill they've come to share Landscaping in America

Why would only an older crowd be able to appreciate Neil Diamond? I'm in my 30's and have seen him in concert before. I can appreciate a great singer-songwriter of any age. I don't think you have to be over 60 to love Neil. I think you'd be surprised at how many of our generation grew up listening to him and would love to see him. We listen to all kinds of music in my house, including Neil Diamond and new music like Shinedown. My kids listen to all of it and love it. Their favorite concert this summer was Frampton. Who knows what next summer will bring, but we'll be there with the kids!

I fear that a draw like Diamond will overcrowd what proved to be limited seating with views last year. I went to all three, arrived more than an hour early, and was on the downside of the crest of the hill each time. Many were behind me. Yes, I can go earlier. There should be a limit on the number of tickets sold.

Play on, Neil!

After a long exhausting night at the negotiation table with the managers of a certain performer, we the party planning commitee, are pleased to announce the second leg of entertainers will be Taylor Swift! The negotiations took place over a live feed into the Country Music Awards ceremony and were finalized early this morning. Taylor states she is a HUGE fan of Neil Diamond and would be honored to play in New Lenox. She has heard about the recent progress of the new Walmart and hospital and wants to be a part of this cutting edge town.

Will you soon have a third one to tell that your Aunt Betsy, Uncle Fred, Grandpa Walt, and your old Sunday School teacher Irma like him? Jeesh....
