Let's not forget that Miller never sent her only son to the public school. He only went to st. jude and he's in college now.
Who cares about this? Does we know if Phil Adair or Bill Strons sent THEIR kids to this school distrct? Maureen Broderick sent her kids to Providence! So what! I think that merely being a taxpayer here is the ONLY thing that matters so quit making up 'stuff' to make your point. IMO, I'd rather have Kathy Miller anyday than people who have had NO kids in this system for decades like those two guys or Kathy Miller who has been a contributor to this community both in business and her personal volunteer life. Keep up the good work, Kathy!

Once again, trying to slap something on Ms. Broderick when Providence is the high school they attended. Highschool in New Lenox is District 210 not District 122. Ms. Broderick did send her children to District 122 grade schools. Nice try, once again, Indiana.

Good work? Like what voting to give raises and then cutting the very people who work with the kids? Voting to increase our fees and taxes while buying an IPAD for herself?? If thats good work then I hate to see how you run your home.

LOL, as if I didn't know this? Nice try, too. I'm not slapping something on Broderick, but, the point being that people can send their kids to wherever they want, private school or public, high school or grad school. Or in the case of Strons or Adair, in the 1970's or the 1980's as compared to now. All of these people are taxpayers and that's what really counts when they are making decisions for the rest of us. Again, Keep up the good work, Kathy Miller. I appreciate your diligence!

Closing Cherry Hill could be done if the 1st floor of Spencer Point was included in the plan. Right now Spencer Point has numerous classrooms not used for daily learning. Come on nlsd122 think out of the box!

There was a time when there were many empty classrooms at Spencer Trail. Are they all filled now? I love the comment in the patch about not wanting 30 kids in a classroom. The primary grades have pretty close to that.

I don't know where your kids go to school, but there is nowhere close to 30 children in either of my kids (2nd and 3rd grade) classrooms.

I would have to agree 27 or 28 kids is darn close to 30. You must have kids at one of those half empty schools.

We need a new school board that is responsible. Gillooley is up for re-election and must NOT be re-elected, and anyone else tied to the cronyism of our superintendent and mayor must NOT be elected. Anyone who supports these salaries and perks to administration must NOT be re-elected or elected.

How coincidental that now that Gillooleys kid is going to high school she now votes yes to cut the special ed. teachers and aides.

I sure hope Mrs. Gilooly doesn't read this stuff. She gives her heart and soul to the special Ed children in our district. Say what you will (and you do) about other areas of her personal life but you cross a line when you imply that she doesn't care because her son is going to HS.You are a piece of "work", truly.
