Pending approval from the village board, Goodwill will start up a store in the Wal-Mart area of New Lenox. Personally, I think this is good for the town. The store could possibly bring employment opportunities and lower cost clothing, furniture, etc. to the town. What are your thoughts on this?(Can't wait)

If we can have a cash for gold, why not a Goodwill store? Seriously though I see no problem with it. With the way the economy is these days it will probably be a welcome addition.

Well? With all respect and admiration for Goodwill and what they do, it is a sad day when NL welcomes a Goodwill store. Reflects how that hopey changie plan is working out for us!

Really? I admire the work Goodwill does, but my town is too good to have one. Is that what your trying to say? Oh and I am sure your blaming the Goodwill store coming to NL on the democrats also. Matter of fact I think democrats are to blame for the Tsunami in Japan, acid rain, and the disappearance of the Lindburgh baby.

I've got some news for you. We already have a Morning Star Mission thrift shop in the old Barry's thats been there since I believe, the Bush administration. That being said, there's no place better than a thrift store to find affordable house hold goods and furniture, especially for a college kid. I've also found some pretty valuable antique items, like lamps, that they were practically giving away. Also, there's usually a good selection of books, old LP's, etc... The best part is that it goes to a good cause, helping to support their mission program for the less fortunate. Goodwill already has shops in Joliet and Orland. Both, I believe, are in newly constructed buildings. Can't complain about that either.

But you bitch and bitch about how broke we are as a country. And now you look down on the people who purchase stuff from a store intended to give a little relief in the pocketbook. Wow Neighbor, maybe NL should get rid of churches too. Your such a hypocrite.

We are broke as a country. Do you realize that if the debt cieling isn't raised we will have to cut 44% of the federal budget immediately? That's no way to run a country, a business, or a home. Borrowing 4 billion dollars a day just to stay afloat? That's nuts. The Democrats just said they indeed did take the Lindbergh baby!

You can all thank the dummycrats and Obozo for the way the economy is. What has that jackass done since he's been in office to help this economy? He and Michelle seem to be eating their fair share of lobster while the rest of America struggles to put ground beef on the table.

The MorningStar Mission place smells horrible! I can't go in there anymore. Also, they play Christian music. Ugh. Something stinky and fishy going on there. I've seen people smoke in the back of the store. Why make stinking used clothing even stinkier? Every Goodwill store I've ever been in has been clean and doesn't stink. Non-denominational.

I have become addicted to Goodwill since they opened here. I LOVE that store!! I can usually find very reasonably priced clothing & household stuff. I check in there at least 3 times a week, and their staff is awesome...very friendly and helpful. One thing I have noticed is that the afternoons are a good time to go in and browse, any other time and they are very busy. They also have a breat halloween section.
