Obama and China

Am I missing something here or did Obama say that China is our biggest ally in his DNC speech. He went on some kind of rambling about offending people at the Beijing olympics and then asked why we would treat our biggest ally like that.

Since when is our biggest ally a communist nation? Oh, since we've had a communist for president.

Please tell me if I'm hearing this wrong. Hopefully, I am.

You are absolutely correct. Here is a short clip I found from the DNC where Obama addresses CHINA as our CLOSEST ALLY. WORDS MATTER!!!!

Wow guys. Do you mean to tell me that there are still people alive today that are still afraid of the communist boogey man like it's 1954 again????

No need to fear the red scare anymore. And if you're calling Obama a communist, then you're probably still think elvis is alive and 911 was an inside job.

Romney's foreign policy is a joke. Obama is a true leader who believes in diplomacy first. Romney can't string together 2 sentences without pissing off some major group or country. The guy is about as diplomatic as.... well, george bush. We are reminded this 11th anniversary of 911, as well as 2 pointless "wars" to show us how bad Bush was.

If you believe China to be our ally, you probably believe Iran is as well. What about our good friend North Korea? China is becoming stronger and stronger at our expense. As China builds it's military, ours becomes weaker thanks to Obama. China is killing the US economy as well. Some ally...

There is a difference in being diplomatic and pandering to other nations. There is a difference between respecting various cultures and apologizing for the freedom that we have that many other countries, like China, do not have. And yes, leadership is what we need. Obama doesn't lead. He caters to others because it's easy and because China operates in a way that he believes things should operate.

You can deny the communist argument about Obama all you want, but take a look around. Take a look at the people he is associated with. Listen to his policy. And yes, listen to his comments that China is our GREATEST ALLY!!! I can think of a lot of other countries that I'd refer to as allies before China. This is not insignificant.

And if you want to keep talking about Bush's wars, why don't you remember what today is, 9/11. Have we been attacked since 9/11? Nope! Can you say for sure that that would have been the case had we not removed Saddam from power and went after Al Qaeda? Of course not. Do you know what else you wouldn't be able to say if we hadn't gone to war? You wouldn't be able to give Obama credit for killing Bin Laden because it never would have happened without us over there.

As for leading, maybe Obama should get off his A$$ and take a look at what's going on in Syria. We are supposed to be world leaders, not some half rate country sitting on the fringe watching as people are being slaughtered.

And also, how about some leadership with Pakistan. The doctor who brings Bin Laden to us now sits in a prison in Pakistan for 30 years. Why, because he helped the U.S.. Is Pakistan an ally too? Why doesn't Obama step up to the plate with some of his "diplomacy" here? Why do we keep sending billions of dollars in aid to Pakistan, our "ally", when they have imprisoned the guy who helped us get Bin Laden? The answer is simple, because Obama has no idea what he's doing with foreign policy. He is a joke around the world.

And lets not even start on Israel. How soon before we actually step up and state our position on Israel? They are our true allies but we turn our backs on them.

Kind of funny to think about who we stand with these days.

If you believe communism is dead and Obama is not one your nuts. Here is a short list off the top of head who Obama surrounded himself around growing up. Tell me this is not a scary communist list. Remember....... Birds of a Feather Flock Together. I got this information from a pretty good source. Barack Obama himself straight out of his autobiograhy he wrote. Look these guys up.

1. Roberto Unger
2. Edward Said
3. Bill Ayers
4. Frank Marshall Davis
5. Jeremiah Wright

Dude, you're all over the place. You mean to tell me that if we didn't invade Iraq, we would have never been able to take down Bin Laden?

And I'm sick and tired of hearing a Republican argue that we invade countries (like Iraq and Sadam) out of the goodness of our hearts because the poor people of Iraq were being slaughtered and needed us... boo hoo... NOT BUYING IT!

Republicans couldn't give 2 craps about the poor and repressed people in their own country, let alone the brown people on the other side of the world. The problem in Iraq was not Sadam torturing his own people, but rather the fact that all of OUR oil happened to be under THEIR sand! Bush and Cheney saw $$$, and selling the connection between Sadam and 911 obviously worked for your dumb ass.

No, all you hear is the truth and you have no answer to it. Your only answer is to bury your head in the sand and keep worshipping your false idol. One thing I will give the dems credit for, Obama is a great example of effective marketing. They created this guy from nothing. No experience, no skills, communist views, and they have all you fools believing he's something special. Only problem, he's just like the products you see on the infomercials. He doesn't work as advertised.

I mean to tell you that if we werent in Afghanistan(1 of bush's so called useless wars), we never would have gotten bin laden. I also mean to tell you that there is much more to terrorism than just bin laden and it was necessary to go after them. As for Iraq, you are correct. We should let saddam torture and kill his people. And of course let's forget about the celebration in the streets when we liberated them, we didn't need to be there.

It may seem like I'm all over because there are so many examples of Obama failing at foreign policy. We can go all over the place and chances are he's screwed up there too. Syria, Pakistan, Israel, Iran, any comment???

Having failures is one thing but it takes some serious balls to pretend that foreign policy is your strength when you've proven it to be one of your greatest weaknesses.

You guys missed it completely. Romney insulted the British while at the Olympics in London, because he thought they were unprepared. Obama said "you might not be ready for diplomacy in Beijing if you can't even go to the Olympics without insulting our closest ally." You guys are having an argument completely irrelevant to the actual quote. Of course if you watch fox news, this is a normal strategy for starting an argument....

I'm glad I missed this and no I didn't see it on fox news. I actually wondered why it wasn't being covered. Apparently Mitt's insults of the British weren't too severe because it doesn't seem like anyone covered that either. I hadn't heard it and it doesn't seem like the lefties here had either.

Anyway, to take off on Obama's comment though, what's wrong with telling someone when they've done something wrong? Sometimes that's tough to do but leaders have to do tough things. If China does something wrong, which they frequently do, I want a president who's going to tell them that. Not a president that is worried about being "diplomatic".

Look at the list above I posted of communists that Obama stated in his autobiograhy are his closest friends in life. Any concern? What Obama says and what he does are the complete opposite. He don't care about our allies. He is supporting Afghanistan over Israel for gods sake. Our ambassador gets slaughtered, along with his staff, raped, dismembered, dragged thorugh the streets and Obam abstains from taking any action. This is diplomacy? This is what a president of united states reaction is to an act of war against us by our enemies? If obama wins, america loses. simple as that!
