I believe in unions, but not the corrupt unions we have today. Until there is a major overhaul- to hell with unions.
There is corruption everywhere! The Unions are operated as would a corporation. People seem to think the B/A's are the problem but don't realize they are there to represent, negotiate, and inform the public and contractors of how unions operate for the members. I don't like a lot of things that happen in this country, but I'm not going to just give up on it!

It's obvious most of you ignorant people are either stuck in a low paying job and jealous of union wages,or a buisness owner paying these low wages. Ray is a horrible business man and can't even afford to build this Charter. He is relying on another person to back this deal. Give this charter 2 yrs the doors will be closed and place built for lease. The union bids are very similar to the non union bid, the only difference is the workers aren't going to make squat! Way to support non union wages and working conditions stupid.
The difference is union labor puts 50% effort in a job and non-union puts 90-100% effort in a job. I applaud any business in this state for hiring non union labor. I hope the business succeeds for him and the community.

The Unions supported Obama and his destruction of the middle class and this country. You get the government you vote for.

You couldn't be more wrong! The only difference is the non union employer can hire two for the price of one, while not paying insurance for them, not offering them any type of retirement, keeping their workers low income and starving. Non union employers are greedy looking out only for themselves and not their employees. Any general contractor with half a brain wouldn't even think twice about hiring non union. It's horrible that people like you comment without any knowledge of Union labor and just make radical statements against it. You should be ashamed of your American self. How do you look in the mirror everyday knowing that your past grandfathers and great grandfathers fought so hard for labor laws and unions for you to just bash them like that. Pathetic!

Your out of your mind! Take a walk out you front door and look around the middle class is everywhere! Especially if you live in Newlenox. The median household income in N/L is around 100k looks middle class to me! I neither support or dislike what Obama has done but it has been 5yrs and the middle class is still here! As a matter of fact I believe he has done a pretty good job keeping the middle class a float after the collapse of the economy thanks to George Bush Jr. If you recall, G.W. racked up a 6.5 trillion dollar debt and still climbing, a debt that Clinton (Union supporting Democrat) worked very hard to lower. I don't disagree that Obama has largely overspent, but it had to happen to maintain the middle class!

Who cares if it's being built by non-union workers? The unions are bankrupting this country. I'll be keeping my Charter membership.

This is hilarious! You actually think you make sense? There is no George Bush Jr. One is HW and one is W there is no Jr. What were you paying for gas when W was president? I know I wasn't paying $4 a gallon which is what we're paying under that muslim's rule. No money to feed the troops 3 meals a day, but that large butt Moochell gets her vacations on my and every other working American's dime.

Are you really complaining about the George Bush Jr statement. Come on, gas prices rose during G.W.'s presidency and continued to rise. Every president, and they're families have gone on vacation on your dime. If you don't like Obama because he is an American hating Muslim, then why are you supporting non-union workers? The non-union work force is being flooded by illegal, American hating people. Maybe you weren't aware of this. You have to have tax revenue to feed the troops, and if a large number of working people are not paying taxes because they are illegal then the troops will starve.

I was in the union for 19 years. The economy collapsed and I need to feed my family. Unfortunately the union wont cut me a check every week to survive. I am now working non-union. I have a great employer who has work year round for me. I make close to the same money, good benefits, and I have a 401K instead of a pension. I actually enjoy going to work for a change. There is nothing wrong with non union companies. 80% of my co workers are long time union members who were laid off from union jobs. The quality workmanship is the same!

You are the exception to the rule, and in my eyes are still a Union member. You still carry a Union mentality and I'm sure you are safety conscience on the job and chose a non union job that was compareable to your old Union position. But you will have to agree if the economy didn't fall and work was strong Union Labor is the only way to protect you as a worker.

That's classic that you find that funny. I'm solid! In the field I work in. Make awesome pay, could run circles around a joker like you.I also have a 401k'/Ira savings etc.I don't get pushed around by the employer like you do. What's it like kissing management booty? Do they make you work whenever they feel like it? Do you work all holidays and Saturdays ? Yes how's that working for ya?

Too funny.....again. Union labor can't think for themselves, they can only work as hard as the laziest or they get reprimanded. Get paid for 8 and work 6. And work slowly. Everybody knows it, stop denying it.

actually I work 8 and get paid 10 or more . My employer loves me and is not worried about me being in a union. I'm smart, I work extremely hard and he wishes he had more like me. There is no need for you to be mad cause your stuck in a dead end garbage career. Blame yourself and stop blaming others. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
