The coach yelling at his coaches was yelling at the boys on the field last Thursday at practice. He was having quite a fit throwing his clip board and more while yelling at the boys. Might want to stay for the practice show too.
Is that what you heard or is that what you saw?

Thats kinda what I figured. And as I recall, I think it was about 7:30 at LWC on the baseball field, correct? Lets see, where do you sit, behind the fence or on the bleachers or over on the hill by the flags?

Jim why are you trying to call out the person who saw the sh&$ Show at practice? Never ceases to amaze me hat grown men think its OK to scream at kids. Football or otherwise. I played D3 hockey (ya i wasnt good enough for D1) and never had a coach scream at me. We still played hard, and won.

Why ask if I am sitting, standing, walking by OR on the field? Never assume you know opinions of those that surround you.

Nope, don't have time for that, just able to catch a few practices a week and the other night was one of them. My son has played with this group of boys for the last three years and he loves it and enjoys all his coaches. See ya tonight... Nice getting to be on the main field like last night once in awhile after LW Knights and Warriors were done.

Hats off to you that you can acknowledge in a public blog that you sucked so bad to play D3 hockey, but you won.

Another one missing the point. But since you brought it up, I'm proud to have played where I played. I competed, and competed well at a good school. Enjoyed my team, made life long friends, got my Masters, and never got screamed at. That is the point, there is a lot to take out of youth and collegiate sports, but perspective is key. I was never going to play for the Penguins, but I love the game, got to play and got an education, and no one ever clouded my experience for their own misguided notion of glory. Perhaps you should try and understand the points made pro and con, and not pump up you chest with 3rd grade insults.

Oh well, different strokes for different folks. All your education, WERE HAPPY FOR YA!
And my husband coaches 3rd graders and 4th graders, these are 11 and 12 year olds and they know how to handle it. But as usual you are like some others and always claim "not my kid".
And you have no idea how much time that all these coaches put into this. Not just NLYFA but Mustangs and other football programs. In fact I believe our Varsity Jr. Warriors team only has one coach that has a kid on the team and I think there are coaches that don't have a kid even in the program. And I have a neighbor that has a son on the Varsity Jr. Knights and I believe the same is true for them. Hats off to them and thank you. Some of these guys end up having to be baby sitters after mommy and daddy drop their kids off. Discipline and baby sitting, did you learn that getting your masters?

The point that you had to let everyone know your accomplishments... College hockey, masters, "how to coach" kids. So with your "patting on the back", the recourse is to let you know that D3 hockey sucks! It really does! It's worse than club high school hockey, but your scholarship had to be huge? Let me guess, you are a teacher now with your masters?

Let the coaches coach, the parents are all the same! If they were losing, then they would be complaining they are not intense enough. Now the coaches are too intense. If you don't like it, pull your kid and start another organization! Call it.."NL don't yell at my kid league"
I commend the "coaches wife" above that will say who she is as she is writing, unlike you who throws stones then hides! Take a picture of your D3 college trophies....no one cares!

Reading is a skill, pay close attention. I said "3rd grade insults", not 3rd grade players. All the back and forth and no one seems to get the point. Coaches screaming at other coaches and players is not acceptable. Period. If you don't get that, then you shouldn't have kids. I could care less how much time they put in, wrong is wrong. From how this whold thing started it was coach to coach screaming. That motivates your kid? Im finished here. Go pat Chuck on the back for verbally abusing your kids and other coaches, I wont.

If what you are claiming is so bad, then why are you AND, most of all your kid, there? Call out the coach, or another coach. But you can't and you won't, that's why you and your masters are typing away here, right?
See ya later.....

I never said I had a kid on the team. I don't, and if I did, there would be more than idle chat on this message board. I encourage parents with kids on the team to stand up. OK, now I'm finished. Enjoy the show. Go UMAS Beacons!!!

We are no longer allowed to discipline our kids. Kids can't be yelled at anymore. All kids get trophy's regardless of winning or losing. What a sensitive society we now live in. You people who complain about all these things are nuts!

Knights and Warriors a combined 15-1 through the first 2 weeks. Not to shabby! aside from the egomaniac coach who thinks he is Knute Rockne and sends 1000 emails a week, the year is going well. I guess Ill take the ego as long as we win and/or the kids are havin fun! On to the superbowl!!!
I know some of the Warrior team have played the Mustang teams this season in scrimmage games. Is it true that the Knights tried to get a game with Mustang Varsity HeavyWeights?
