Id say you're ignorant one. Why is it then they are the only builder around who is putting up any real amount of houses? You're just a whining little biatch, face it.

houses seem pretty nice. the ones they are developing on laraway by the jewel. these kids also go to lwc....which is good for families that have children. i just dont know about living by such a crowded area. i think larawa ridge and taylor glen are nice areas.

In comparing Naperville to NL, in all honesty, they have a much nicer downtown area. Good restaurant and shopping options. All we have is a circular path that goes past the waste of space village hall. Oh yeah, we also get White Crapple and Hoartillos as our dining options. We need to step if up and get better restaurants here. It's pretty sad that we have Mcd's, BK, Taco Hell, KFC, and Wendy's on the same road and no real restaurants.

I totally agree. Some more restaurants would be great other than fast food!

Hibernia is nice they are developing some newer homes there....i think it is a great area to raise your kids. they go to LWC not West which is filled with Joliet now. stick with more inland of new lenox. the southern part of new lenox laraway is developing but cheaper and will bring in trash from joliet. just saying

Funny...that's what we say about the north siders. HAHAHA. Honestly, there are only a couple of areas in NL I would avoid, but not many. I really enjoy my neighbors here in Laraway Ridge and Taylor Glen, etc.. It's not about where you live, it's the people you live near. Every neighborhood has their "bad eggs", but as long as you are happy where you live, then that's all that matters. People may look down their noses at us in our modest little home, but it's the right size for our family of 4, we love it, it protects us from the elements and it doesn't take me 3 days to clean it. Oh yeah...it's a Hartz home as well, and I have no issues.

What area would you avoid in NL? I thought the Laraway Ridge would be not so hot. I mean it is not bad now but in say 10-15 years when people are selling thier homes for 210K you might see some changes there....as i said joliet coming in. i dont know about the southwest part of new lenox. the area is nice right now but scares me in 10 years.

I'd avoid the area west of Nelson behind the 711. The homes are nice and I've met some very nice people there, but the apartments seem a bid seedy and I wouldn't want to live that close to them. Otherwise I would only avoid areas with well water because I'm a total water snob. I need to have my city water. Laraway is filled with a lot of young families. I think it's great. The added bonus of course is no association. I'm not worried about the future here. Of course, our plan is to be gone before 10 years.

this is true that area is sketchy....but i would hate for that to leak over to laraway ridge and palmer ranch!! i mean it is so close to that area and joliet. i just hope those areas can stay how they are....like i mentioned before, you should be close to bluestone bay area, wellington area to purchas and live....then go to LWC....solid school and solid area that i dont see changing. do you agree?

Too much traffic. If I'm not mistaken, those subdivisions have associations also. Here the kids can walk and ride their bikes to the parks, CVS, 7-11, the Creamery without us being too worried about traffic. In the summer we can walk to the bowlig alley for free bowling. We figure by the time Laraway gets too commercial, the kids will be grown and we will be ready to move on. We're pretty content with the shools here. Mostly it's nice and quiet. It's hard to find a bad neighborhood in NL. It's all a matter of what you're looking for. To each his own, right?

yeah the traffic is higher there for sure. but seems to be safer neighborhoods. i mean dont get me wrong pretty much all of NL is safe but those areas are just well established and you know what you are buying yourself into...unlike the southwest side of new lenox....just dont know what the future will bring over there. i understand where you are coming from..NL is nice town. I just hope it doesnt go to crap in 10-15 years. what about frankfort...is all frankfort well water?

god that sucks. i have been living with chicago water all my life. i dont think i can make a change like that. love the area and homes but well water...no thank you. i guess my search will stay in New Lenox. heather glen is out...larway ridge is in, tyalor glen in....BSB in (and areas around that) just looking for something i can afford...would love to have my kids go to LWC or LWE but i dont think new lenox goest to LWE. boundaries will change though. interesting to see how this town turns out. so far so good i think....
