I lived on Arizona drive at the time I attended. They had a summer recreation program where you coud go and play games in the playground, or activities inside. I remember a little blonde girl with glasses that used to sit with me on the step outside, we would "hold hands". This was 1966 - 67. U.S. Keds, Levis and t-shirt, and Bonomo Turkish Taffy. Priceless memories. Playing marbles.

I wonder if it was the same Betty Wilson i had. She had red hair, sweet as pie and used to read from "Charlottes Web" to us.

Great days, weren't they? What stands out in my mind was how blissfuly unaware we were as 10 year olds to what was going on in 65 thru 67. My older brother was drafted and went to Vietnam after losing his defeerment from St. Vincents college. He made it home o.k.. I remember having a "007" briefcase that had a booby trapped latch on it. If you opened the case with it set it went bang, via the cap in the spring latch. Of course, I pulled it on my best friend, then we pulled it on most of the guys we hung out with. Great times. All of us going to the kids house who had color T.V. to watch "Lost In Space".:-)

My relatives lived in the house on the school grounds, I remember boarding a school bus (lineup around the circle) and going to Kennywood for the NK, Arnold and LB schools picnic. Anyone remember having to sort out your ride tickets from your tax tickets?

That was probably Dick White. He lived in that house as long as I could recall....He was a Janitor and School Bus Driver.

If memory serves, "walking the circle" was walking the circular path around the playground at lunch and recess. Oh the memories.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Sagittarius

Slow down! You're trying to do too much and it's driving you - and everyone else - up the wall. What's more, if you're in too much of a hurry you'll start to become accident-prone and that will make you even more het up. Try to take any setbacks or domestic mishaps in your stride, otherwise you'll end the day feeling like a nervous wreck.
