Radiation has been used for some time now regarding prevention of cancer return following prostate surgery removal. The bigger question is which man will have a reoccurrence when they are not supposed too based on a lower risk prostate cancer to begin with.
Should check out a company called Myriad Genetics, they are doing amazing testing.
