McKinney Cop Abuses Authority with Horn Honking Ticket. Not wise to mess with Texas. No pun. Officer Jason Norton and other Bubba cops are in the Spot Light, Horns honking and lights are flashing. Nothing you can do about it either. I hope that really torques your jaws. You guys should go ahead resign and move to Amarillo where other smart ass cops go when they are exposed! Chicken shit is not Chicken Salad. Once again rouge cops action's has overloaded their collective asses. Good enough for you Big Shots! McKinney's finest, yeah right! Can't wait to see the movie! I bet those Bubba cops hate the Internet. It might break some of the "Back the Blue, No Matter What" rules. I bet they would love to trim off the 1st Amendment from the U. S. Constitution. LMFAO

Yep, banishing him to Amarillo is a great idea. A punk like Norton will eventually cost the city of McKinney millions of dollars when he pulls some other out-of-control power tripping stunt. And the cops wonder why the public does not trust them and why they are viewed in a negative light. There are some truly good cops out there. But one butt-head like the one in this posting--and the really good ones have to work three times as hard at being good to offset the rogue ones. It is a real shame that there is not a pre-employment test that can be administered to weed the bad ones out--the one that think that the badge gives them respectability. They demand respect, but have forgotten that respect is earned.

I think horn honkers and people with loud trucks/cars should be ticketed first offense, and given the chair for the second.

That's a bit excessive, Dees.
Maybe a good old fashioned ass whooping for the second offense?
Or we could be more "diverse" with our punishment and bring in some punishments from foreign countries. You know how people like diversity. Let's try caning or lopping off someone's hands.
Third offense, though, should definitely be the chair.

yeah, i guess I don't want to be too harsh, the chair for the 3rd strike.
I do think loud bass should be lethal injection upon arrest though.

You know, it really is a shame that you would slander someone for this! Seriously, Jason Norton is an absolute blessing to this world. Obviously you don't really know him. Everyone one makes mistakes, and if he did, I know he is asking his father to forgive him. Jason would never intentionally harm or hurt someone. Jason is someone that you can truly be proud of. Thank you Jason for all your hard work and dedication to your Father. God Bless You.......Shelley

Amen Shelley. I don't know if you have been by there but he has collected so much for needy families in the area. Tons of food and toys have poured in since his story was aired.
I find it rather humerous and sad how people can slam a guy they no nothing about. Interesting enough, not one negative comment has been posted since someone posted the link describing his good work he's doing.
Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes we say things we wish we could take back and say differently. FYI for all you haters, Jason wasn't the one who initiated the stop nor did he write a ticket. Merry Christmas and my God Bless your hateful souls.

More Prayers: You're absolutely correct. It wasn't Jason who initiated the stop. Neither is it correct that Sgt. Norton arrogantly asserted police officers, MPD or otherwise are categorically exempt from traffic laws. Too often, the individual who posts under multiple aliases on these threads does not follow-up on the story all the way to the end. Therein lay the potential for slander. Relative to that, enough cannot be said of Jason Norton’s efforts to serve. Neither can enough be said of the courage and resilience required to overcome daunting criticism and unwarranted disparagement.
One thing's for sure: God's on Jason's side even if his detractors aren't. Who else would still be pysically strong and fit, full of energy, on his feet still giving of himself well after midnight after a month in the cold with nothing to eat?

One more thing. A tribute to one man; genuine hope for another is a profound irony. An irony of divine ordinance intersecting the lives of three people with the awareness of only two. The third remains clueless by choice. Drowning in chaos, he spirals downward in a sea of rage. Every moment, vigilante to the perceived enemy; at all times ready to seek and destroy; annihilate and obliterate. Specific are his targets, among them a S.W.A.T. Cop--a man of God; a man unlike any other man or any other cop.
The profound irony is that the S.W.A.T. cop/pastor so hated and despised by the drowning man isn’the enemy; he’s a lifeboat in the storming sea.
