I would. And it’s only frosting on the cake that McKinney is a warm community, most of whose residents are inordinately friendly and down to earth.

I don’t know that anyone (on these threads) actually “hates” McKinney; perhaps it’s only frustration at times? Since the beginning of time, no one or place is perfect and McKinney is no exception to the rule. It’s not the city determining ones happiness. It’s our response to it. If we’re surrounded by negative, pessimistic people always complaining about the city, all we’ll see are the faults. In contrast, if we surround ourselves with upbeat and positive people, we’ll see the beauty. And anyone would hard pressed to argue McKinney’s natural beauty. Hard to argue too, the city’s affable nature, clean streets and parks; affordable housing, increasing recognition and appreciation of the arts, but perhaps most important, is McKinney’s consistently low crime rate in spite of a rapidly increasing population.

Yeah, I believe it. I also believe McKinney has the potential to climb the ranks. Maybe someone needs to start as thread focusing on the plus side of McKinney.

Have not seen anyone hating McKinney. Personally love it. Moved to and raised my family here for a reason a long, long time ago.

Have seen plenty of people expressing their opinions regarding the McKinney Police department or the city council. How is expressing pros or cons about such organizations equate to being "a hater"?

Where have we seen this type of characterization and illogic before? That's right, in totalitarian run societies. Anyone disagreeing is a hater (enemy) of the state. Illuminating how you can’t discern the difference between debate on issues, examples of problems that need resolution and hate.

You obviously haven't seen the thread titled "How Would You Rate McKinney in Quality of Life." I recommend you read it.

McKinney is a great place to live and raise a family. There will always be people who aren't satisfied. Those who complain the most usually have no reference for comparison.

Right. Read the Cheerleaders Gone Wild forum.
I guess all those people expressing opinions either way are "haters" too.

I don't see many people saying they hate McKinney. I see people expressing displeasure with the well known good old boyism, the city council, the police department, district attorney department, the roads and the taxes. And that's "hate" in your little book?

Ever see the "Matrix" movies? Well you appear to be fully plugged in, but it's great that you are happy. Just like "The Fool On the Hill". That's a good thing for you.

The following link is not in reference to anyone here, there or anywhere. It's just a link to a rather sobering statement of the times in which we live.

The writer, Lisa Virgoe,(Lucas, TX) isn't saying one shouldn't have opinions or the freedom to express them. Nor is she saying one shouldn't speak out about that which he/she fervently believes. Instead, she points out the sheer effortlessness with which one can irrevocably shatter the life of another human being, all without leaving home.

What Ms, Virgoe DOESN’T say,(perhaps assuming critical thinking on behalf of the reader) is that there is a difference.

It's one thing to voice an opinion about a topic meaningful to oneself; particularly if he/she genuinely believes the topic involves variables that have (or could) cause harm to someone else is one thing.

But unremitting, merciless efforts to publicly extinguish every shred of dignity of another human being is not “voicing an opinion;" it's a calculated murder of the soul.

Right. Read the Cheerleaders Gone Wild forum.
Yes, it is hate in my book since it's just bitching and moaning. If these people have so many issues with the city and the way it's run, why don't they leave? Why don't they make efforts to create change? What's the point of griping about something if you don't have a solution?

As far as the Cheerleaders Gone Wild forum, tell me what city in America doesn't have the same type of kids running around in their schools? I don't actually see how that statement has any correlation to the topic in this forum.

Also, you should realize that several forums and postings by individuals have been systematically removed from this site.

Never seen any of the Matrix movies - I'm not a Keanu fan. You should try reading a book.

So, I guess during the American Revolution, people didn’t write and gripe about things they wanted changed? This led to discussion and eventually action by those brave enough to do so - as opposed to the Loyalist who tried to quash debate. You should try reading our history and get on the boat back to England or wherever your pusillanimous line came from.

As far as the Cheerleaders – exactly! So what’s your point?

You actually and unbelievably wrote:“Also, you should realize that several forums and postings by individuals have been systematically removed from this site”.

And your point is what? That you agree with “systematic removals” of postings expressing peoples opinions within the United States of America? Wowee! Fascist little pig aren’t you?

Admit it. You are a direct descendant of Herman Goebells, aren’t you, hater?

Would be interested in your response to the following, which represents my feelings about you too --
