Anyone know where this p.o.s is? Weasel, that's a good name for him! Pill head, heroine addict dont even take care of his wife. She works everyday just so he can buy his drugs and cheat on her every chance he gets. Don't he have a daughter by another woman? If my memory is correct, I'm pretty sure he does. Hell, his baby mama probably knows how he is. If I were her, I would keep that child far far away from him.

Mayor Charlie Neff has decided to stay in charge of Mount Sterling.

Neff, 74, said he was resigning and walked out of a bitter and out-of-control meeting Monday night after the Village Council voted 5-1 to disband the police force. Tuesday morning, he delivered a resignation letter to council President Lowell Anderson, but council had not yet met to officially accept it.

Today, Neff changed his mind.

“Mt. Sterling is my top priority,” Neff said in a written statement.“I received hundreds of phone calls in the last several days supporting my leadership of the village. It is evident through these conversations that I am the strong leader that Mt. Sterling needs now and into the future.”

Neff is running for re-election to a second term in November. He is being challenged by Councilwoman Diane Spradlin, who at Monday’s meeting argued with Neff and banged her shoe on the table in anger. Also running for mayor are former mayor Rob Roy and John Howland.

Citing dwindling funds and accusing Police Chief Mike McCoy of not getting his department’s budget under control, council laid off every dispatcher and officer, except McCoy, on Monday.

Madison County Sheriff Jim Sabin has said he will now patrol the village and investigate crimes there, with the help of McCoy and unpaid auxiliary officers.

Local residents are trying to raise enough money to bring the police officers back to work, but Sabin expects to soon present the village with a formal proposal to provide full-time coverage to the village for a fee, a common practice for sheriffs. He says he can provide coverage less expensively than the police force’s annual cost of $374,917.

Neff said today he expects to take Sabin up on that offer. Anderson has also pledged support for the proposal.

Last I heard he moved in with one of his wifes friends, Shelly. I think her last name is Stewart. She lives in town and has a bunch of kids.
