Put her ass to death. I don't care about about the lousy ass excuse of Post Partum Depression. There are means of avoiding this. Drop them off at a friends out, hospital, call someone. This world disgusts me.

Now that I read this, I'm friends with the sister of the father of the child. When I first found out after coming into work after Xmas break, I was heartbroken and angered. The Safe Haven laws do need to be changed. The Safe Haven laws only go up to a child who is 6 weeks. You know how many childrens lives we'd save if there was no limit on how long they could bring it in.

First, just get rid of her like she got rid of her kid. Second, her family should have made sure she got the birth control shot. There are so many couples trying everything they can to have children and then you read something like this.

After reading about these horrendous child abuse deaths which are happening more and more frequently, I have found myself physically ill and become depressed thinking about how these helpless, defenseless, harmless innocents suffer. I could not go on anguishing in despair and have concluded that we must focus on the fact that, at least, the child is GONE and will NEVER SUFFER ANY MORE ABUSE from belligerent parents. I know that is a harsh statement, but believe me, it meant as a solution to the daily heartbreak I dwell in whenever I read about these events. WHAT could a tiny baby have done that was so terrible that it would warrant punsihment? The thing is that abusive parents CONTINUE their obsessive punishment of their children for ALL of their childhood, they do not stop torturing them. Not only does the child suffer for years through this, but his brain, emotions, spirit, the whole person is irreparably damaged. Some kids are beaten and abused for 5, 6, 7, 10, l6 years before they can get out of the powerless situation. This baby's life is over, but so is his misery in being in the care of an incapable parent. I have known and spent time with physically abused kids and what amazes me is that they still say they LOVE their parent or parents. I do not understand it, but I have to let the sorrow and bitterness go somehow because we just cannot save everybody. This babies' torture is over. The mother should be sterilized. The beatings would have continued as long as he lived.

It would be an insult to the animal kingdom to call her an animal!!! She should experience same torture & pain that she inflicted on a defenseless baby & put it on pay per view!!! If she was mentally ill or had PPD, anyone that knows her should have reported the fact that she is having children and may be a potential threat to them or SOMETHING. WE are the voices for children!! Removing her uterus should be done immediately and those like her that don't place any value blessings such as children!!

I wish i could be the judge or a member ofthe jury.Because i feel she is gaulty of muder of a poor little child.Dear god why do people feel they need to hurt this poor little angels???????They cant defend themself form these monsters.If you cant take care of your childern then you need to give to to a family member who can take care of them or just give them up to foster care.

The last 2 posters say she should be found guilty, basically whether she is guilty or not. The rest of the posts remind me of the days of the lynch mob. Why there are so many angry, judgmental, murderous people living in CT and this country is beyond me. Some of you will bring God or Jesus into the argument, when you know full-well if they were here they wouldn't have the same opinions as you. I think it's weak to bring God into the argument. If you want to kill them, fine, that's your right to want to kill everyone who you think committed a crime or whom you don't like, but there's a legal process for a reason. You should really wait and see what the outcome of the case is in court.

In all of this no one has mentioned if the father has any part in this horrible crime. Was he aware of this abuse and/or did he comment on what is going on? I hope the little girl is in good hands. Children are our future. They may get on our nerves but we all did the same to our parents. This woman deserves to be punished. It's obviously to late to get her help...
