This is one of the most horrific things I ever heard of. Mothers nurture and love, not murder a 3 month old defenseless little baby. I hope she gets the electric chair. I had my first of 3 children at 19 years old, and they are grew up knowing love. The Lord should not allow some people to have children. Kill her.

Audrey please don't use the Lord's name and then say "KILL HER" thats a disgrace. Unless your walking in that woman's shoes don't judge her. She could have been suffering from postpartum depression. I'm sure people have used that many times for an excuse but the truth is, it does exist. As far as the death penalty, if I thought it was a deterrent to crime I'd agree with it, but it doesn't. God bless that poor little baby

PPD is an excuse. Look, I have a masters degree in forensic psychology and, like you said, it is over used but it still doesn't make you kill your child. Its not like schizophrenia or a dissociative disorder where you have limited control over your actions. You still have full control over what you do. IF this is used as a defense will she be found NGRI? Probably not. The insanity please is used in less then 1% of all cases and is successful about 50% of the time it is used. Even if that happens, she will spend about 40% more time in a state hospital then she would in prison.

Some people should not be allowed to reproduce and this woman is obviously one of them. What could a 3 month old precious baby boy possibly have done to warrant his mother killing him, any child for that matter. I dont understand it and I never will. If you dont want the child then for christs sakes give it up for adoption, let a family who would give anything to have a baby to love,nurture and raise rather than kill the poor innocent baby. Charged with manslaughter? Thats our lovely justice system for ya, she should have been charged with at least 2nd degree murder that way she would be almost guaranteed to spend a better part of her life in prison.

I agree that certains people should not be allowed to reproduce. All that crap about post partum is crap. Yes your body goes thru changes when you have a child but a DEFENSELESS 3 month old baby probably cried because he was hungry, wet or just wanted to be held in a loving manner. Bue instead he got knocked around and murdered. If she did not want the child that is what the Safe haven law is for. She should be placed in jail and before she gets out be given without her consent a total hysterectomy. That child did not ask to be brought in the world so no other child should follow in his footsteps by her hands.

need to check hair strain for drug use and you will probably find some thing in her system and thats how she got pregnant in the fist place its all just a accident. another young women with no family support.not even goverment prevention could stop this.

This basically tells me that there are a lot of immature people having children without understanding the responsbility ahead of them.

The baby died after suffering severe head trauma, spinal cord injuries and broken ribs.....this child was clearly beaten severely and the mother needs to FRY.

I'm sickened by this story... why is it that the children always suffer?? It hurts me so much that this defenseless child had to suffer a beating from their own parent!! WHY?? what did the baby do to her?? keep her from partying and getting drunk and high at night?? nice job you sorry ass BITC*

Come on now....PPD is not crap. When you get your degree in medicine, then you can talk about crap. Unless you have suffered from PPD you really need to keep quiet. I am a medical professional, a nurse in L&D so I have seen PPD on more than one occasion. And it can be very severe. However, in this case, I don't think PPD was the factor that caused this horrible tragedy. This woman should have suffer the consequences of what she did. Living the rest of her life in jail would be suffice since she will have to live with what she did everyday, that should be just.

Nevermind adoption, she should have been "fixed". And when she is sentenced to whatever term she is given, she should be fixed as part of her punishment. No need for anymore reproduction here.

You guys do not know her I do. She is not playing with a full deck. She has another baby girl and she could not handle it. she does not do drugs and she has both sides of the family helping her with the kids. She is not mentally all there. It's sad but she is crazy...
