Jenn, I have many friends who are truck drivers. I even had the opportunity to spend 5 weeks out on the road. What a scary job these guys have. Even if there is one bad apple out there, it's not fair to lump all truck drivers together. It's amazing how people spout off with limited information and create their own stories. I feel for your dad. I have a friend who hit someone in Florida with his semi because that IDIOT was running across a dark highway at 5am and ran right out in front of my friend. So it's not ALWAYS the truckers fault. I hope your dad is ok. Please tell him to get some counseling. My friend didn't and over a year later still has nightmares.

Truck drivers should have their own highway,they drive too fast,god fotbid if you do the speed limit and their stuck behind you,I had one ride my bumper all the way to where i got off the highway and resy assure i called the police and reported him.truck drivers need to slow down and pay attention,forget the deadline and think of other people.i really feel for the family in the car,fedex driver i hope is ok but he should be darn lucky he didn't kill these people because he would be looking at hard time.i think he should go back to driving school along with the other truck drivers.

I watch these truck drivers every morning on 91 drive even down the breakdown lane. I saw one do it just before the accident site.

Pass a driving test = drive the biggest, most deadly vehicle on the road. Just like normal people, half the truckers on the road are too oblivious to be behind the wheel. Wake up, watch the road and spare some lives jacka$$es

There is no one to blame here but the driver of the truck, I stand by my assumtion that he is inexperienced, sleepy or intoxicated, people just don't go plowing into cars in the breakdown lane for the hell of it.

Are you smoking crack? Excuse me, but where in the law does it say that I have to yield to someone who is ILLEGALLY TAILGATING me? No where. A "Trained Professional" would know better than tailgate.

Not against truckers in the least, but your logic in this case is flawed. Trucker, car, bus, police car... doesn't matter, if they are tailgating, they are in the wrong.

apparently you know nothing about trucking...so go away. Crack is not something that I would smoke, so how dare you even suggest such a thing you don't know me. If the trucker's tires don't move they don't make money and that is truth.My logic is by no means flawed, those particular vehicles are ever so larger than mine that if he was tailgating me I would most certainly MOVE.
