Another example for why goods should be shipped by rail whenever possible. "Get the trucks off the roads as much as possible."

Don't be so quick to always blame the truckers.

No redneck is that stupid to do something like that ! Perhaps he had some good old Kentucky moonshine in his cab.

This is why you should never change a tire on the highway. Better to ruin the rim driving to the nearest exit and escape with your life.

I can not believe that no one was killed in that accident. It looks like the car was run over completely by the truck. Good wishes to them all!!

Sounds like a classic example of target fixation - you drive where you look. It's most common among amateur motorcyclists who crash going through a corner. They look AT the corner and crash exactly where they were looking, instead of looking THRU the corner and not crashing.
You've all seen videos on "Cops" where an officer has someone pulled over, and next thing you know, someone smashes into the cop car. It's because the person target fixated on the flashing lights and unintentionally drove where they were looking. Target fixation increases with the use of alcohol/drugs, supported by the fact that most of the people shown on TV were under the influence of some kind.
Target fixation can also increase when someone is tired.
One theory on what happened is the driver of the truck was tired, target fixated on the flashing lights and unintentionally swerved towards the car, striking it.
I'm just glad everyone survived. It looks like that car went through a wrecking machine!

First of all did you see the truck driver yourself? i think not, so before you go judging people look in the mirror yourself, i'm sure you are nothing special. that truck driver was my father and you have no idea what goes on, so backoff!

I am sure your father is upset over what happen. But the truth is that he hit a car that was not moving on the side of the highway. So you have to understand where people our coming from.
