College Program For Black And Latino Men

T he Summer Academy, a free six-week program to help black and Latino men achieve success in college is being offered by Capital Community College 's Black and Latino Male Resource Center.

Where is the DIVERSITY when only Blacks and Latinos need apply?. Why can't I get me some of that "free" education. Oh yea, I get to pay for it...

Frustrating to read about racist programs like this, but I'm sure its about as useless as an inner city HS education.

The real tragedy of this type of program is that it excludes poor white folks.

There are plenty of poor white kids who could use the assistance.

This program is only for black and latinos males , and excludes whites. How does a publically funded college offer a discrimatory program and offer it openly? Are they offering a similar program to women and white males?

When I sent my kids to school, there was very little help probably because of their demographics.
This thing, with making it "latino and black" is racism. What if you are poor white, asian, native american?
Who will PAY for this?
I really hope it isn't done with taxpayer money; I grew up colorblind and have never committed any act of a racist nature, but I'm starting to get a little sick and tired of being pushed to "the back of the line" these days. Just because I'm not black or latino makes me or my family anything to do with any wrong doing years ago.
