I am just writing this post to let others know of the unfortunate experience I had at this veterinary office several weeks ago. My cat was hit by a car on a Saturday evening around 5pm. Her normal vet is located thirty minutes away and I didn't want to risk the drive out there, so I contacted the New Hartford Animal Hospital for emergency assistance. They asked if my cat was a patient, I told them "no", and I was then informed by them that they were unable to help me. I exclaimed: "You mean to tell me my cat is suffering and you don't want to help me?". She informed me "it's not that we don't want to help you, it's just that because when animals are hurt in this situation people come out of the woodwork and we never get paid". I would have gladly paid them on the spot before they treated my cat but I was never offered that option. I was treated very rudely by this clinic and felt no compassion from them. I would NEVER recommend working with them.

I've had my animal there for years and love them, we've had emergency calls and have never had a problem. My sister who does not use them had an emergency she called them and didn't have a problem- and this wasn't that long ago.

Mondi has a horrid reputation and I feel sorry for your pets if they go there. Mondi also has a history of throwing out animal remains in the trash wrapped in guaze. Even if a patient cannot afford to cremate their animal only a true dirtbag would do such a thing and unfortunate for you all that dirtbag is your local Vet.

Too expensive. What animal hospital needs 2 flat screen tv's and a water fountain. Also check your bill... after your animals annual physical there is a charge for fecial disposal. Who are they kidding,,, how much does it cost to flush dog poop down the toilet ?

You sound ignorant. Throwing out remains is illegal not to mention immoral. Do you really think Dr. Mondi is so successful because he does things like that? I have a hard time believing what you say is true. I have heard nothing but great things about NHAH. My experiences have always been positive. And they are the only AAHA accredited hospital for miles around. This shows real committment.

I wouldnt take a rat there let alone a beloved animal. Dr Mondi is an overpriced idiot who wouldnt know how to care for an animal if he had a animal care for dummies book infront of him. everyone i know who took there animals there walked away with a bill totaling 800 dollars or more and the animals either died there or at home shortly there after. trust me find somewhere else for vet care for your pet

I agree on him being overpriced... and in addition he stuck a needle thru my dog and out the other side while giving him a shot... not very impressive. Waterville has been great tho, very rasonable and great care... well worth the 15 minutes extra

Dr. Rothwell at Paris Hill is an awesome vet. he knows what he's doing and he doesn't charge you a fortune to help your cat

Dr. Mondi is only interested in the "frosting" of pet care. All of the expensive extras - vitamins, tooth sealents, ect.. Took my dog there for 10 years and switched vets. One month later, the new vet diagnoised my dog with cogestive heart failure. My dog had a stage 6 heart mumur... It was too late for him. He passed away 6 months later. My dog was never diagnoised at New Hartford Animal Hospital in the 11 years they took "care" of him. I can't help but think he may still be alive if they were more interested in the actual care of my pet.... Please do not let this happen to you... it is a heartbreaking experience. Take your animal to a vet who truly cares about the health and welfare of your animals, not in selling you a lot of expensive "necessities".....

If this is true that is very concerning but what is also concerning is the fact that you are either a liar or a dumpster diver because the only way to know such information would be to go through someone else's trash GROSS!!!... I was looking for helpful information but I can tell that there are a lot of biased opinions that do not make sense on this site.

I agree, Waterville is Excellent..He really tries to get to know your pet. My dog is very skiddish around strangers, this doctor was so patient with him until my little guy realized he was a friend. I will always bring my dog there.
