Does the CT Post have an editor? This is a one-hundred word article and has many typos, pathetic.
20 years for arson seems a bit much, especially since no one was harmed.

The good old days are gone. Proofreading is too expensive and really unnecessary since the school systems teach our children that spelling and grammar isn't nearly as important as the ideas they are trying to convey. If we are too critical, we will bruise their precious little egos, you know. I call shenanigans!! You can't read three articles in this paper without finding at least one, if not a bevy of spelling and grammatical errors. I weep for the future!!

You are 100% right, unfortunately,(sadly) it has become taboo to even constructively critisize children anymore b.c it may "make them feel bad" or "damage their self esteem". So instead of teaching them the right way, a lot of kids are left to just do what they think is right b,c no one wants to hurt their feeling anymore. When I was a kid (and that was not that long ago) the adults in your life were there to guide you, now it seems taboo to ever want to upset a child, even if a life lesson is involved (such a you do not win every game, or get picked at every try out). This generation is among the most pampered and wimpy thats ever existed.

Since we know that the police and the court system have zero tolerance for domestic violence (which includes stalking, emotional abuse, and obsessive controlling behavior, not to mention arson), we can rest assured that this woman will be made an example of for her abusive behavior, and that some domestic violence shelter will provide room and board, protection, and counseling to the victim.

Yeah, right.

Attention Grammar Police:

One should never end a sentence with "you know" especially since that turned your statement into a question, which I am sure you know requires a question mark for punctuation.

Weep not for the future Zebredow, as the future just handed you your arse. Brush up on your grammatical skills before you criticize those paid to inform you.

There's a qualitative difference in standards between posting on a public message board and articles in a broadly circulated newspaper. There ought to be, anyway.

If it makes you feel better to believe that if a man doesn't love you, it's his fault and not yours, then go right ahead and believe whatever will salve your ego.

If it makes you feel better to set dwellings on fire, then get professional counseling, because you're a psycho-bi+ch and should either be on meds or locked up.

You read the "you know" in an interrogatory voice even though I did NOT put a question mark after it? Bad proofreader!!

It is correct as it stands!! Why do you take such offense at people pointing out the inadequacies of the Connecticut Post when it comes to grammar and spelling? Methinks he doth protest too much!!

Nice try, but I write for a living, which is more than I can say for the folks that work at the “Post”.

Oh, and the word is ass. The education that I received, included biology, and as far as I can tell,“arse”s don’t exist. If you are going to make up words, please put them between quotation marks or perhaps in some silly, colorful font.
