It is nice that you all find yourselves to be the judge and jury here.
Just because the paper states that the boys started all the fires doesn't mean that they did all of the fires. Robb admitted to 3 that means 2 others before the last one. The officers are lumping all of these fires on these 2 men. Do you know for a FACT that these men did all of them? I think not!
You have no idea of the true FACTS in this case so donít hang them until you do.
Who knows, there are 1,000's of possibilityís as to why, which ones or who else was involved.
We canít blame the parents, schools or where they live. That doesnít have anything to do with why or if they did this. If in fact they did do ANY of the fires they need to pay the price for what they may have done but before we judge any of them you need to know the facts.
Both of these boys are good men, maybe they did make a bad choice; Let the facts come out before you all start slamming them, thier parents, the schools or where they live.
There might still be someone else out there who also torched cars.

Love it! You say "Both of these boys are good men, maybe they did make a bad choice"
What "choice" did they make??? Makes it sound like they had options! They made "decisions", not choices. The decision was "hey, let's go out and torch some cars for fun'. One has already confessed, and implicated another. Sounds like there was another numnuts in this crew to be announced. I'm sure he is another "good man", too. I don't think it's too early to rush to judgment here. And I don't think you should be waiting for any "aha" moment where we all will go "Gee, now I understand why they did this.". The chances that they did this for some higher humanitarian purposes are as likely as peace in the Middle East. To all the friends and family folks holding out hope that there is some up side to all of this: Get real. They may be personable, likeable people, but they did some horrendous stuff behind the scenes. You and they will have to deal with it for the rest of your lives. I for one will be happier knowing they will be out of circulation.

Or even better, drawn and quartered!

I agree with what you are saying here. I don't think that we will hear "aha" moment. I am more upset at the bashing of the schools and families. Yes it was also a decision he or they may have made, only one has confessed to 3 of the fires. We still donít know what if any role the other or others may have had in all of this. Why is there always a need to also blame the School, the community and the families? If one or all of these men are found guilty, letís hope the Justice System works.

In one article it was stated that there were 2 people in the car when the bate car was set on fire, Why wasnít anything said about that person? Who was that?

My comment was directed towards "Hmmm Silence"....excuse me...but so many people judge the parents and accuse them of setting a bad example and of neglect as a child . These parents were total role models was my point. So sorry if you were offended . Making such derogatory comments before the facts are all straight are pointless.(directed again towards hmmm silence ) Any person who performs acts of this magnitude should and will suffer consequences , and yes, I do feel awful for the parents, I would feel awful for you if it was your child and I don't even know you ! It is called compassion .
There is a difference between your definition of good parenting and mine. What you feel is non-neglectful or abusive regarding the proper way to raise impressionable children is again different from how I feel. For example, I would not be involving myself in "court of public opinion" trials in front of my children. I would not be throwing around insults and dropping profanities in front of my children. I would not be posting or commenting on internet forums along side my child when there are more mature and appropriate ways of relieving stress. I would not be coming to the defense of suspected criminals or allowing my children to befriend suspected criminals unitl their INNOCENSE is proven! That's just me. My household is not a courtroom and I don't feel the need to wait for a jury to tell me who are good or bad influences on my kids.

And since you raised the issue, I do in fact have compassion. I have compassion for victims. I have compassion for all those who are defenseless, who are good and honest and who are taken advantage of. I feel compassion for those who are deserving of compassion.

I do not feel compassion for people who choose evil. I do not feel compassion for those who do wrong then cry afterward when they're caught. I don't feel compassion for excuse makers..like you..who avoid responsibilty and accountability. Instead I feel shame and disgust for you and these criminals.

I never defended the people accused of the crime ! Wrong is wrong but so is judging parenting and other people when you have no clue and nor do I to the facts involved ! These kids were brought up with high moral values and my own child knows the difference from right and wrong....As a grown adult my child also has the right to his opinion ....that's right an adult ! The parents in this case are also defenseless in this situation , and being morally judged by people like you...I guess the disgust goes both ways. INNOCENT until proven guilty ! That's why they are beng held where they are until the facts are presented . God help you if anyone you ever know is accused of something less than honorable ....but I guess that's above anything you could ever imagine. I never made an excuse for their actions, I have no clue where you read that one , I thought is was wrong to accuse the parents the way you have...So SHAME on YOU !

See!! you people who are commenting have no idea what these people are like, they made horrible mistakes and their actions will be paid for, your rude/snide/and immature comments prove nothing but ignorance. Mike IS* and good person and so is Alex, they have done things they shouldnt have and will pay. but this incessant commenting DOES NOTHING, they have familys who love them and are just as hurt and suprised.
how would you feel if you did everything you could to raise your children right, and they did something they shouldnt have? they will pay, THE END. there is no reason to comment on and on about how they deserve it and will get it in the shower? Really? how much more shit do you want to put the families through?
Typical pathetic arrogant people who don't think beyond their own desire to put in their POINTLESS two cents.
NO ONE and i repeat no one knows the whole story. you all wanna talk about the school they went to and how they were raised? how about each of you think back and remember your background, don't judge a book by its cover, don't speak about things you know nothing about, or little bias details about, or you will portray yourself as ignorant and unintelligent, and that is exactly what most of you have done.

But it is perfectly kosher for you to go off on your meaningless tirade, castigating posters for their opinions, but you shoot off your big mouth with your nonsensical opinion. We need NO further information on these two (2) supreme a$$holes or how well their families did/did not raise them. Suggest that YOU keep you asinine opinion to yourself as well. This an open forum so if you do not appreciate the "truthful" comments, stay off! No NORMAL beings perform such acts as these greaseball scumbags committed!

You people don't understand the seriousness of these crimes. Ever finding a job? Community service? This is a felony. Minimum time served will be 10 years in a federal pen. Finding a job??? they will be in with the worse of the worse. Gang bangers from across the country.... and you think they are worried about finding a job right now?????? You need a serious reality check.
I highly doubt that this person has looked back at this article again but....I would just like you to know that your "minimum sentence of 10years" was WRONG! I am related to one of these boys and he had a GREAT lawyer and is going to be just fine! Oh and he was never even in a federal pen. so maybe you should get your facts straight next time because your "predictions" about what would happen to these boys were completely WRONG!

The mininum sentence wasn't wrong, the federal pen wasn't wrong, the predictions weren't wrong. The Judicial system is just another failed attempt at keeping criminals "rehabilitated" and is WRONG!! I don't know the outcome of your criminal relative but I already knew that all they needed was a "Great" BS'er...I mean lawyer to get the very minimal sentence. What a shame that Judges and District Attorneys in our county are so afraid of the criminals and their attorneys. There is never any justice for victims anymore...only protection for your scumbag relative that committed these horrible crimes that scared people for months.

Oh and I just checked and both dumb asses are at least still in YCP. You also might want to check your facts too because the max sentence for specific sets of crimes they committed in one area is 2 years!! But you failed to add the max of 2 years for each of the 5 or 6 jurisdictions that they committed the crimes in....to include Maryland. Im sure when they are tried in MD they will get stiffer penalties because that state isn't nearly as forgiving!!
