While the idea of small town policing may seem attractive , it is QUITE expensive. To disband SRPD ( and I am not saying that this should or shouldn't occur) to form a Shrewsbury Boro PD, New Freedom Boro PD and a Glen Rock Boro PD would require each boro to buy uniforms , equipment , hire officers, start a NEW pension plan , buy individual health benefits etc.
ALl of the sudden the costs would be very HIGH.
I say give Boddington a chance to work things out and if he doesn't come through , consider buying services from SW Regional or York Regional.

The conflict of interest in New freedom is that the boro administrator is a council member in one of SWPD's jurisdictions. Her 'other' job benefits greatly if she is able to convince NF to take on SWPD. Definitely not kosher.
