IS IT JUST ME, Or is there a problem with half the people on here who cannot spell or do they spell like they speak? What is becoming with our environment? Why do we spend more money on education and end up with this kind of education.

I agree 100%!!! After reading several of these posts I'm beginning to wonder if I'm still in America because most of the people on here don't speak ENGLISH! I can't figure out what language it is!!

I am so relieved that I'm not the only one annoyed by that. My child isn't even here yet and I'm questioning the school system these days.

I agree. It's awful. As a teacher, I attribute much of the problem to text messaging and the necessity to write messages quickly. It's amazing how many times students use "lol" in a paper - and these are college students. I must admit that Moberly students are very fine writers. I can immediately tell when a student has had Mrs. Barner - they are fine writers. But yes, I agree completely. And the language! It breaks my heart that this is how we to one another.
