How do we justify spending that amount of money on a bridge that only carries 300 vehicles a day? Close the road.

Unless one of those 300 vehicles that wants to use that bridge may be an ambulance or fire apparatus responding to your house when you need them.

I regret seeing the old iron bridges disappear here. Reminds me of the early 60's when the state demolished several of the covered bridges in the Conewago/Mt. Rock area to upgrade to concrete. The old iron bridges have just as much nostalgia and history as the covered bridges. Too bad we can't save some of them and leave them standing as relics of our past.
